Ivy had a good apartment, a well-paying job and an incredibly hot boss who is really into her. However, he is a vampire and she is human. Then he accidentally kills her however it did not go smoothly - she is not fully dead and not fully alive. Suddenly she sees a whole new world of supernatural creatures and she is now one of them. Then she sees a young dead girl who needs help and she finds herself working with two men who she has feelings for. Can anything else go wrong?
I enjoyed this story mostly although I did find Ivy a little irritating at times. I loved the story of the little girl and how that was woven into the story and how Ivy helped her. I did find the so-called reverse harem nature of the book a bit weird as there isn't one - there is an attraction between her and her boss, but she is now dating someone else and sleeping with only him. Maybe it will be developed in the next book in the series. Contains explicit sexual content.
