Witch Dani Rhoderick didn't do much magic and when she did it wasn't well - almost as if her powers had been bound. When Gerri Wilder promised her all she has been missing she feels it would be silly to say no. Lion shifters Mack Smith and Victor James have pretty much given up on finding their third - the mate who will complete them. But after a chance meeting with Gerri Wilder, all that changes. However, they have no idea what to do with a mate and when they see her can't keep their hands off their sassy mate with curves to die for. When Dani is attacked by a magic-wielding stranger, the guys go into protection mode to keep their mate safe. But the problem is how can shifters fight magic? The guys don’t know, but they’d better figure it out quickly because Dani possesses the most sought-after talisman in the magic world, and she will be hunted by the strongest evil until she hands it over or dies trying to keep her mates alive. Can she come into her own destiny and defeat evil while keeping her mates fit and well?
This was a nice twist on the set of three mates together where she was most definitely the most powerful of the three of them. I loved how they screwed up and had to apologise and approach it all differently in order to keep everyone happy. I was also thrilled when Dani was so level headed when it came to her powers. This book was definitely addictive and I found myself rushing through the book wanting to know what happens next. Well written and easy to read and understand. Definitely, a book aimed at a mature audience.
