Chase Mailin has spent years working for and starting successful companies, has an advanced level of charm and can usually get what (and who) he wants. But then he meets Sydney Frost who gives his efforts a chilly reception and just throws him. Sydney looks like she has a new influential job with a nice salary and the hottest young executive in the company falling over himself to introduce her to the best that New York City has to offer. But it is all a lie. Her name is actually Sadie Keating, she is an undercover agent working for the FBI on a case that could make or break her career and Chase is actually the prime suspect in a major cross-agency investigation. Can she do her job and not fall for him?
I loved this story. It was great to try and work out who are the real bad guys, if Chase was involved, how Sadie's investigation was going on and if they were actually falling for each other or were just using each other. The plot was actually quite feasible in real life too and so that added an extra element to the story. The dramatic events and how they were handled were easy to read and understand.
