Answering her door to be asked to care for two children was not usual, but then finding yourself at a palace working for the King in order to continue to be the nanny for them was not normal either. There is some sort of attraction between them that sizzles but she does not want to become a notch on his bedpost until she starts to sense his thoughts and emotions which then suggests to him that she is his fated mate. He wants her for keeps but she is not prepared to accept anything less than becoming his wife. Can they come to some sort of agreement?
This was a sweet story that featured internal politics, true love, care of two inquisitive children and threats from both sides of the alien/human divide. I loved the way that she cared for the children as well as the way that over time the king became a lot more involved and less stiff towards them - they really did become the glue between everyone. Easy to read and understand. Contains some sexual content.
