Khephren is being pushed into an arranged marriage with a warrior chosen by his parents but that is not what he wants to do as he dreams of travelling and falling in love with his own candidate. So he channels all the Hallmark movies he has watched and pulls a runaway groom manoeuvre with his two best friends and heads to Earth - it is almost Christmas and he wants to experience it. Sasha is not into Christmas but needs a job so starts work but then loses the part-time job. Then he and his cat are abducted by alien Khephren to help him experience Christmas. Over time Sasha's reluctance is won over and as they spend more time together he realises he might not want to go home (especially as those tentacles are so useful). Maybe this is his Christmas miracle?
This was a sweet story which was a mixture of an alien abduction, a fake fiance and a Christmas romance. I liked the feelings analysis and the sheer optimism in Khephren. This was a fun light read and there was enough romance and interest in the plight of the characters. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
