Scientist and viratrix Elias is supposed to be big, strong and in control but being in control is the last thing he wants when his research assistant and fellow viratrix Jordie goes into a rut. He just needs to ignore Jordie's muscular arms and legs plus his alluring green tentacles.
I enjoyed this story with the realities of same-sex relationships and alpha/omega pairings that are treated equally in their island research facility but not so much in the outside world. I found the emotional discussions and the hesitancy from Elias tiring after a while but it was also a heartening story about love (with tentacles). Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and an alpha/omega dynamic.
