In this novella, musician Samantha Flynn has moved to a small town after being betrayed by her longtime bandmate/boyfriend and so it woking as a waitress building a "normal" life away from the pressures of the music profession. During the holiday season, she is tempted by a mysterious married man into having an affair with him.
It was a nice story and a good taster for this author's writing style. I enjoyed the descriptions of the characters, the surroundings and their thoughts. I found it easy to understand and enjoyed it enough that I would be tempted to read a longer version of this where we could find out what happens next and how life for all of the characters turned out.
