Captain Danica Miller is in charge of an all-female bounty hunter crew and thought she could handle and was prepared for anything. Then they find themselves marooned on a sand planet. While trying to find a source of water she is isolated and injured in the desert when a barely dressed and huge, gold-skinned alien finds her. The last thing K'alvek is anyone or anything distracting him from his mission but he feels drawn to her and finds himself unable to not save and heal her. So he vows to help her and her crew to leave the planet, but if he were to listen to himself, he actually wants to drag her to his tent and never let her go.
I enjoyed this story which introduced Danika and K'alvek. I did find her determination to escape intriguing and found her more naive than I would have expected a successful bounty hunter to be. I loved the fact that the individual crew members had distinct skills and personalities. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
