FBI Agent Georgina James always strived to be better, smarter, stronger and faster. It was exhausting. She was drawn back to Wishingbone as she can't stop thinking about the handsome but overprotecting sheriff. Ed doesn't know why he is so intrigued by her, but there is something that is tugging at his Daddy instinct. He wants to coddle, protect and put her over his knee. But when someone from her past returns she might not survive long enough to get the HEA that she both so desperately needs.
This was a dramatic story with lots of tender moments but also lots of major danger and drama as Georgie's past caught her up and a frantic Ed did what he could to find her even though a very capable Georgie was able to do some things to protect herself. I loved the way that he was able to coax out her Little and that he gave her the confidence to deal with her mother. Easy to read and understand it was easy to get swept into this story. Contains mature content of a BDSM DDLG nature.
