Falcon Montgomery is injured but is determined to help his fellow operatives but he is also battling an EMT who is putting both of their lives at risk when RAPTOR is so close to the criminals and Falcon is determined to stop him. EMT Kori Jackson has many secrets and while hunting down a man who traffics women when she sees a man shot and runs to assist him. The stubborn man won't accept help even though he clearly needs it although she will learn that this stubborn attitude will help her with the path she is currently on. Will this battle of will mask the fact that they are also falling in love?
I really enjoyed this story. I loved the camaraderie between the RAPTOR team and that after an initial period of assessment they were able to accept Rori into that team too. I liked the way that their aims actually coincided and that there was no need for them to be at odds. The relationship between Falcon and Rori crept up on them but was solid when it was developed into something more concrete. I was impressed with the speed of their permanent relationship and location. Easy to read and understand. Contains some mature content.
