Dan leads a simple life living in his apartment with his cat and is satisfied with his job at the working-class bar Cowboys and Angels although he could do without the fights that break out at the bar and the boss's meddling daughter Ariel. He also has a brutal and unrequited crush on his straight boss Gideon. His best friend is going to get married and everyone insists he needs a date for the wedding. Ariel arranged a gay speed dating event with Gideon as a participant - the unforeseen revelation that he is bisexual raises Dan's hopes especially when he says he wants to accompany Dan to the wedding. Needing support they team up to save the wedding from a hungover groom and intolerant parents. Can Gideon convince Dan that they are meant to be together?
I loved this story with the hardworking Dan, the lust and love from afar, the out-of-control daughter and the best friend's wedding. There was plenty of romance along with the physical side of things nearer the end of the book. Dan was just amazing at his job and I loved the way that he broke up some of the fights. I loved Dan and Gideon as a couple - they were just SO good together and I felt that they were perfect for each other - it just took a while to get together. Easy to read and understand, I could feel the character's thoughts and emotions. Contains mature content of a MM nature.
