Lexi is unlucky in love and so when Gerri Wilder tells her that there is another possibility that includes fated mates, shifters and going to an alien planet, cynical Lexit thinks this is ner one shot at finding something new. Rao is the leader of the Shadowed Rock Pride or lion shifters on Nova Aurora. He never asked to be matched by Gerri but King Alyx didn't give him a choice in the matter. When he meets Lexi he can't believe she is meant to be his - she is sweet and sassy and he can't keep his hands away from her. Lexi thinks Rao is too good to be true and Rao thinks that he doesn’t deserve his own happily ever after. Can these two broken lovers piece each other’s hearts together and become extraordinary or will they both go back to their ordinary lives?
I enjoyed this story with the proud lion shifter having to step down and give her the real him to show human Lexi that he was understanding and caring too. I loved the interaction of the brother and that is another eligible male to be matched by Gerri. A sweet couple who will be great together. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content.
