A childhood tragedy made Juliette withdraw into herself and only the love of her very overprotective brother helped pull her out. Doctor Xavier has loved her for years but decided she was too fragile for his needs, so he watches her from afar and never claims her. Grouchy and bossy Brick barrels into her life and does not do subtle. Xavier then realises that he has blown it and that he has lost her to Brick. With a threat to her life can they work together and share her?
I really enjoyed this story with the overprotective brother in the background, the strange and quirky Juliette, the wet weekend of a doctor in Xavier who grew a backbone and the bossy Brick who was assertive and determined to take who/what he wanted. Some of the interactions were a little wooden around Xavier but it all came together nearer to the end of the book when the joint Daddy scenario was raised and then happened. Easy to read and understand it was a pleasant read. This book contains mature content with a BDSM DDLG scenario with an MFM relationship.
