Mob boss Dimitri was intrigued by Elji when he saw him dancing with friends in his club and became obsessed with making sure that he could be there whenever he was dancing. Wanting to give him the life he should have after the cruel treatment he endured from his stepmother after his dad died where after one brutal attack he lost his voice, Dimitri agreed to clear her gambling debts by marrying Elji. Dimitri was very gentle with him and over time he started to trust him - until he made a fatal error and it could be that he has lost him forever.
I really enjoyed this story. The stepmother and stepbrothers were truly evil and Dimitri definitely saved Elji's life as they were never going to leave him alone. I loved the gentleness of Dimitri even though when protecting Elji he was determined and quite ruthless. I was heartbroken for Elji when Dimitri made his mistake but at least he fixed it and saw the error of his ways. A beautiful story of abuse and redemption. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and some descriptions of violence.
