Johnny sees himself as straight but Wrecker thinks he is wrong. When Johnny moved to LA to start his singing career he never expected to work security for one instead. It can't be seen as that bad as it meant he met his best friend Wrecker. Wrecker has always wanted Johnny and is bad at hiding his interest with lots of flirting, little touches and holding eye contact too long. Johnny lets it continue and Wrecker thinks he knows why. When an emergency sends Johnny back home Wrecker accompanies him and Johnny's family gets the wrong idea. Wrecker now needs to make a decision as Nohnny is likely to run when things get too hot.
I enjoyed this story with the examination of the pressure around Johnny to deny that he was attracted to boys and how that affected him in his adult life. I was really pleased that Wrecker was able to make him see what he was, that there was nothing shameful about it and that he could be loved as he was. Lots of emotions and family dynamics in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand this was an MM story with mature content.
