Jamie Sinclair had met his mate during a top-secret assignment but then hasn't seen him since even though he dreamed about him every night and truly believed he was alive somewhere. Then he turns up nine years later with a trail of dead bodies and a child who could be Jamie's double but Jamie still loves him. Sebastian Hollingsworth knew that the relationship with his mate was built on secrets and then nine years he had to disappear for his own safety. Now his life is in danger again and so he runs to the one man he knows he can depend on to protect their son with his life. What he never expected was the burning anger in Jamie's eyes when he looked at him and yet he had never stopped being in love with him. Was there a chance for them to build something real when everything between them had been lies?
I enjoyed this story with the two agents who fell for each other, the secret love child, the determined enemy and the family who stick together no matter what. I loved that they were both so protective over their child and that they took time to try and work out their problems without making their son suffer. There was some violence and deaths of bad guys in this story as well as an example of classroom bullying. This was easy to read, feel and understand as you got involved in their story. This is an MM story including mature content and Mpreg as it is set in the Omegaverse.
