Abel has been 6 months out of rehab and is learning how to live. Some days he is driven crazy just wandering the halls of Silas's huge house by the river which is brightened up by clandestine visits from his secret benefactor during which he feels alive until he leaves and he is alone again. Jasper is a successful boxer and is used to getting what he wants and feels a kinship with Abel as he sees the same fire in his eyes. However, Jasper is a poison which will come out eventually. Between the benefactor who saved him and the sexy boxer who won’t leave his head, Abel can’t find steady ground. There’s something about both men he can’t resist. If only they were the same man…
I enjoyed this story with the two different men presented to Abel to choose from - it's just a shame that he is still not far from rehab and maybe this was a decision too far. I really felt for Abel when the identity of his benefactor was revealed and can see exactly why he reacted the way that he did. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and referenced addiction.
