Omega Cloud's life is in turmoil even if his friends don't understand why and so he parties and drinks moonshine to give him some relief. Alpha Marco has no patience for someone who can't see the number of people who are there for them but when he is asked to protect Cloud he does it in a very detached way while quietly seething at his behaviour as he needs a good spanking. When Cloud considers what was almost a night of tragedy his fault, the repercussions are shocking. Can fated mates who both believe the goddess is punishing them ever find a HEA with their other half?
I enjoyed this story with the tortured Cloud who was drinking himself into oblivion, and the frustrated friends and Marco who were in despair as to why he was doing it. I loved the way that Marco cared for him when he was ill and didn't lecture him in the way I assumed he would. The dance that Cloud did for Marco was excellent and I loved the thought of him in high heels and with make-up on. I was thrilled when everything was finally sorted out and Cloud and Marco got the HEA that they both deserved. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
