Talon Talon by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Talon Lore was a SEAL and has been recovering since 2 years ago his squad's truck was deliberately rerouted over an antitank landmine where one died and the other 6 suffered life changing injuries. Badger Horley (one of the team) realised it was deliberate later plus family members or loved ones of the team have died in accidents (that appear in retrospect to not be) and so they are now investigating it. As part of the investigation Talon has to go and see the sister of his best friend and tell her his was murdered not in an accident. Clary Witcher was his girlfriend until she issued him and ultimatum and he chose to stick with the Navy. Now he has to see her after 10 years plus he needs to try and keep her safe. From Clary's point of view she has never forgotten Talon and has not been able to move on even though she had married. She is now divorced but knows if love won't make him stay then she will face danger on her own.

Gosh - as with all of these stories it was a roller-coaster of emotions, action and progress on the search for the person behind their comrade's death and the murders of their loved ones. The book went from emotional moments, to danger, drama and action. The one thing you will definitely be able to say about this book is that you cannot be be bored . There were a few surprises and twists/turns which also kept the interest going in the story. It well written and everything thing was well written and explained to the reader. I enjoyed the way it ended and it was great to have a summary of where they were with the mystery and what they intended to do next.
