Theo Armstrong has given up a lot for others in his life - Christmas for his Dad and hiding his sexuality after peer pressure. He is ready to start dating and find himself a boy to love but no one is good enough until he meets Haven Winters. Haven is determined to stand on his own two feet and take back control of his life and although being attracted to his new boss seems like a bad idea he just can't resist. When Haven reveals a truth about himself Theo fears humiliation from the past. Will Theo let that trauma rule him? Or will he be inspired by Haven's bravery and win them both their Happily Ever After?
This was a sweet story about two men who belong together they just needed to find the right way to get past it. It was interesting to see that the events of our teenage years when traumatic could have such long-lasting damage on adulthood. I loved the Christmas angle and that it was celebrated late between the two men but at least they made some new memories plus it was a very Daddy kind of thing to do. This book was easy to read, feel and understand. It was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.
