Review: Magic and Mayhem by M.A. Innes 4 of 5 stars

Magic and Mayhem (Blue Ridge Magic Book 1)

Magic and Mayhem by M.A. Innes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Deputy Talon Winslow is pretty sure he’s protecting aliens and life there is never boring. He needs to find an armoured truck full of gold that has gone missing and there is a woman who floats off the ground when she sneezes. This new job of his pays too well to be that simple but he certainly hadn't expected glowing eyes and adorable littles who almost sparkle they're so fascinating. If aliens come in cute and kinky, does it matter they’re not human? Kenzie can't decide if the new deputy knows he's planning on keeping him and knows about dragons and mages but soon decides that it is not the most important question as when will he get to call him Daddy is more important.

This was an adorable story with a cute little one who was not human and a special Daddy who had no idea who or what lived in his local town. I loved their relationship and how Talon would try hard to rein in his boy but Kenzie was adept at telling him exactly why he had been a good boy and deserved to be rewarded. Kenzie was great at cooking cakes but not normal food which was bizarre but thankfully Talon could. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.
