Review: Angel of Death by Stella Rainbow 4 of 5 stars

Angel of Death

Angel of Death by Stella Rainbow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Niall, a vampire betrayed and enslaved by the man he once loved, carries deep scars of captivity and manipulation. After being rescued, he vows never to be controlled again. But when he discovers his fated mate is Aeron—a necromancer with the power to command the undead—his vow is tested. Trust becomes a battlefield. Aeron, wounded and ready to die, is unexpectedly healed and drawn to Niall long before realizing they’re bonded as semnyar. But even love at first sight is no match for the shadows of their past. Aeron struggles to gain Niall’s trust, even as his magic—necessary, yet intrusive—threatens to widen the distance between them. Bound by fate but haunted by pain, these two must confront betrayal, control, and their own emotional wounds to find a love that frees rather than binds.

I enjoyed this story with its hauntingly beautiful tension between what love demands and what fear resists. The story was steeped in trauma, magic, and the fragile hope of healing. There were a lot of emotions and feelings as both learnt to trust each other and settle into their relationship. Some nice moments involving the couples from the previous books in the series. This was an MM story with mature content.
