When Thomas Williams, co-owner of Collars and Cuffs, agrees to take in Peter Nicholson—an abused submissive—he only intends to offer him safety and time to heal. Thomas makes it clear he’s not looking for a sub, but Peter slowly begins to see that not all Doms are cruel. As trust grows and Thomas gently introduces him to D/s life, deep feelings begin to stir—feelings Thomas tries to ignore. But when Peter’s past resurfaces with dangerous force, the bond they’ve built is tested, and Thomas must face what Peter truly means to him. In the midst of fear and uncertainty, love might be the very thing that saves them both.
I loved this story with the tension between recovery and vulnerability being quietly powerful. Peter had gone through hell and it was heartwarming to see him starting to heal. The relationship between the two men was very special. A lot emotions and feelings are involved in this story which looks at an abusive situation which hides something much bigger. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.
