My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Memphis, a devoted incubus father, moves to Mistvale to build a better life for his son, Neel. Surrounded by a supportive clan, things are going well—until Neel keeps mentioning a mysterious griffin librarian Memphis has yet to meet. When fate finally brings them face to face, it’s not through books, but through a plea for help that Memphis can’t ignore. Orion, the reserved griffin librarian, has built a quiet life to shield himself from heartbreak—especially the kind incubi are known for. But when his past resurfaces in a dangerous way, he reluctantly turns to Memphis. What begins as a reluctant alliance slowly transforms into something deeper, as Orion discovers that this incubus is nothing like the one who once broke his heart.
I enjoyed this story of story of cautious trust, gentle healing, and the unexpected magic of finding love where you least expect it. I loved how Neel’s presence helped bridge the emotional gap between Memphis and Orion. I liked that the story blended healing, trust, and unexpected connection. Some danger and drama as well as feelings and emotions. This was an MM story with mature content.
