Falling For 42

Falling For 42 by Becca Seymour
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Kobe, a tattooed rebel with a sharp edge and a soft spot for basketball, finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Malik—a clean-cut college player with no ink and a dangerously charming smirk. Set up by his brother, Kobe’s thrown into a game of chemistry and contrast with Malik, whose awkward charm and simmering intensity spark something irresistible. They’re polar opposites: inked vs. pristine, bold vs. composed. But beneath the teasing and tension lies a deeper connection waiting to be explored—one that promises to heat up both the court and their hearts.

I enjoyed this novella with the two men who proved that opposites really do attract. The story captured the tension, attraction, and opposites-attract dynamic. It was a slow burn with swagger, vulnerability, and the thrill of falling for someone who’s nothing like you… and exactly what you need. A little instalove but the length of this story needed it to be like that. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
