Someone wants Dr. Josh ‘Wheels’ Malone dead, and it's up to CrossBow Operations Manager Dixon Meeks to protect him. Dixon is secretly pleased with the assignment, as he's been interested in "Doc" for a while and will do anything to keep him safe and gain his attention. After a second assassination attempt, Josh is forced to reveal a deeply classified and dangerous project to Gary Cross and Michael Kennedy—a project he thought was long gone but has been resurrected and is now more lethal than ever, threatening thousands of lives. As Josh struggles to keep pace, his priorities shift to atoning for his past, identifying the culprit, saving the world, and holding onto Dixon and the life they're building, which has come to mean everything to him.
I loved this story with the mixture of tenderness, drama and danger. The relationship between Josh and Dixon was passionate and tender. The plot was complex and shocking yet also easy to imagine that it could happen in the future. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
