Review: Code Red by N.R. Walker 5 of 5 stars

Code Red

Code Red by N.R. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a story about Maddox Kershaw, a globally famous and seemingly invincible boy band frontman, and his personal manager, Roscoe Hall. Despite his worldwide success and "bad boy" image, Maddox is secretly burned out and lonely. As he begins a new tour, the pressure becomes overwhelming. Roscoe's life revolves around his job managing Maddox. He sees the real person behind the public persona and is secretly in love with him. When Maddox's stress reaches a breaking point, Roscoe becomes his essential support system.

I loved this story which explored the complexities of their relationship as they navigated the intense pressures of fame. I loved that all of the characters in the story felt real and it was very easy to relate to them. Parts of the story were very emotional and I felt a lot of empathy for Maddox.  Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
