Review: All of My Heart by Becca Neil 5 of 5 stars

All of My Heart

All of My Heart by Becca Neil
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Nico has survived years of childhood abuse, leaving him with deep trauma and an inability to be touched by anyone except his best friend, Alex. When his mother lets her abusive ex back into their home on graduation night, Nico flees to Alex’s house with nowhere else to go. Staying together brings all his buried feelings to the surface — especially with Alex leaving for college soon. Alex has always cared for Nico, even when he didn’t know how to help. But with Nico suddenly living under his roof, he realises he can’t imagine a future without him. Both boys are terrified to confess their feelings, afraid of hurting each other or losing the most important person in their lives. Their story is a tender, emotional best‑friends‑to‑lovers journey filled with mutual pining, trauma and healing, first times, and the slow, hopeful courage it takes to choose love after surviving so much pain.

I loved this story which was a tender, emotional best‑friends‑to‑lovers story where love had been quietly growing for years, even if neither Nico nor Alex dared to say it out loud. Their bond was deep, loyal, and unwavering — the kind of love that survives trauma, distance, and fear. What makes the story so moving is how clearly they want a future together, even when they’re terrified of hurting each other or taking the wrong step. Nico’s healing and Alex’s patience intertwined beautifully, and their summer under the same roof became a turning point: a chance to finally admit what they meant to one another and figure out how to build a life side by side. This was a heartfelt, hopeful story about choosing love, choosing healing, and choosing each other. This will cause a few tears as you live through Nico's abuse and trauma. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Pieces of Home by Becca Neil 5 of 5 stars

Pieces of Home

Pieces of Home by Becca Neil
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ryan Davis escapes a fifteen-year nightmare of abduction and abuse, but freedom brings its own challenges as he struggles to rebuild his life. He crosses paths with Jacob Wright, a man whose life was altered by an accident that took his mobility and former joy. When Ryan, scared and near death, appears on Jacob's secluded beach, Jacob becomes his caregiver, and a fragile trust forms between them. As they navigate their pain and forge an unexpected bond, they begin to uncover new possibilities for healing and connection—despite the shadows of their haunting pasts.

I loved this story of the two damaged men who were able to function in life with each others help first as friends which changed over time to something more. There were a lot of deep feelings and emotions which were perfectly told by the author. This book will make you smile and cry (sometimes at the same time). This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: For the Rest of Forever by Becca Neil 4 of 5 stars

For the Rest of Forever

For the Rest of Forever by Becca Neil
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Greg Westin’s thriving career as a landscape photographer is a passion he’s built and cultivated for decades. Although he’s now well into his mid-fifties, Greg is always looking forward, eager for the next mountain to climb, the next trail to hike, the next photo to capture. His love of nature and photography is second only to his love for his husband, Allen - a man with a heart of gold and more kindness and compassion than anyone he’s ever known. Allen Westin has worked hard to build a life he loves - a life that is not defined by the trauma he suffered in his childhood, but by the community and people he’s surrounded himself with. His career at the public library in the small town of North Bend, Washington has given him a sense of purpose and fulfilment, and his marriage to his best friend and husband, Greg, has filled his life with joy, love, and adventure. But when an incident at the library sets off Allen’s deeply rooted anxiety and depression, he and Greg have to face a new challenge - one where the next mountain to be conquered isn’t out on the trail at all. They must trust in the depth of their love to help them find their footing as they forge ahead into the next phase of their journey toward their forever, together.

This is a very emotional read as Allen and Greg go through a very emotional time as Allen struggles with his depression and anxiety. I loved the unconditional support from Greg although he had to do some soul searching as he tried his best to support Allen. They also had some key friends who supported them both in their own way. Easy to read, feel and understand you will feel emotional at times. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: More Than Words by Becca Neil 5 of 5 stars

More Than Words

More Than Words by Becca Neil
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oliver Ellison’s heart knows the words are true. Sam Reynolds is the love of his life, and Ollie wants nothing more than to tell his boyfriend how he feels. But trauma and pain from a brutal assault nearly two years ago have kept Ollie from being free to say the words out loud - or to express his love through physical intimacy. Sam understands. He was there at the beginning, after all. He was the one who took care of Ollie during the aftermath, and he’s been there ever since, with his sunshine-filled smile and endless support. Healing is a long road, and Sam is committed. However long it takes. But when a family emergency on the opposite side of the country forces them apart, Sam and Ollie might need all the strength of their love and much more than words to help them get through it.

OMG, this is just such an emotional story as Ollie struggles with his PTSD and anxiety following the attack. Sam's love for Ollie is astounding and demonstrates that they were meant to be together. There are so many feelings and emotions that you cannot help but be swept away by them. You will cry and it won't be pretty. Please read the trigger warnings. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Tell Me Again by Becca Neil 4 of 5 stars

Tell Me Again

Tell Me Again by Becca Neil
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ten years ago Coop and Josh were best friends and kissed. Then Josh abandoned him and his life fell apart. Josh shows up at the diner where Coop works with a fancy job, car and beautiful fiancée, and Coop's heart feels like it’s being ripped in two. Can Coop bury his feelings and give Josh a second chance at building their friendship? Ten years ago Josh made the worst decision of his life after the only kiss that ever meant something to him. He has never stopped loving Coop and hopes that he can convince him that he's sorry and give him a second chance.

This was a really sweet story of love and how circumstances and mistakes cannot win against true love. Josh's fiancée was a real hero of this story as she understood, accepted and supported Josh as the friend that she was. Coop's life had been unbelievably hard and I was impressed that with hard work and the help of friends, he was surviving. Easy to read, feel and understand. this was a very emotional book which will cause you to cry a little. This was an MM story with mature content.
