Review: FBI Dragon Chronicles Complete Omnibus by J.L. Hendricks by J. A. Cipriano 5 of 5 stars

FBI Dragon Chronicles Complete Omnibus, An FBI Dragon Shifter Urban Fantasy Adventure: A Ritual of Fire, A Ritual of Death, A Ritual of Conquest FBI Dragon Chronicles Complete Omnibus, An FBI Dragon Shifter Urban Fantasy Adventure: A Ritual of Fire, A Ritual of Death, A Ritual of Conquest  by
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A great trilogy that is well written and full of drama and excitement. I quickly became addicted to it and it only became disappointing when I realised there were no more books about Alyson and Vlad after I finished the trilogy.

A Ritual of Fire - 5*

Alyson is a dragon shifter (the last one and hiding it from others) and Vlad a 200-year-old Vampire - they work together as partners for the FBI in a secret department that looks into a crime involving paranormal people and artefacts. They are starting to investigate some strange murders of shifters, witches and similar and see a disturbing pattern that suggests that something very dangerous and dark is going on. Can they find out what is going on, what they are trying to achieve and who is doing all of these murders?

Great story. I loved the relationship between Alyson and Vlad and the suggestion of possible romance between them in the future. The story was well told and very clear and easy to understand. As this is the first story in the series I'm definitely addicted and just NEED to know what happens next. A great writing partnership that has definitely delivered something special - they need to keep this going!!

A Ritual of Death - 5*

Alyson is a dragon shifter and FBI Agent with her vampire partner Vlad. They recently finished a case and thought they would have finished with the apocalyptic scenarios even though she also discovered there is another dragon shifter in existence. Now there is a fresh ritualistic murder and they are going to have to go on a very dangerous operation in Russia which will mean they have to go into Vlad's dark past. Can they handle this on their own and stop the vampire race being wiped off the planet?

This was action all the way as they went into extreme danger. I loved that there was a lot of expansion on Vlad's past and also some closening in the relationship between Alyson and Vlad too. There were a lot of twists and turns in the story and times when it was difficult to work out who to trust too. Well written and very enjoyable - can't wait to find out what happens next.

A Ritual of Conquest - 5*

When Alyson and Vlad return from Moscow they have to do their best to stop dragon Bravog to bring about the end of the world. He is allied with demonic forces, twisted weres, and corrupted mages so a formidable force. In order to defeat him, Alyson works on realising her true magic potential and Vlad takes on a role that boosts his own power. Working together as only they can will they be able to defeat him and protect the world?

This was an action-packed book which kept me reading faster and faster as I needed to know what would happen next. I loved the way Alyson was so determined to do things her way and the way Vlad supported her in that wish even if he didn't understand why she wanted it to be done that way. I did want to know what happened in the future for Alyson and Vlad and so I really hope the authors collaborate together to write more stories about them.

Review: To Vegas With Love by J.A. Cipriano 5 of 5 stars

To Vegas With Love To Vegas With Love by J.A. Cipriano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

With the magic pen ensuring that anything he writes becomes reality you would think that Roger has it all by when he decides to start using the pen for good and wants to build a new charity hospital in Las Vegas he discovers that a greedy billionaire has his fingers in to everything and has the government all under his thumb will do absolutely anything to stop Roger - assassins, scandal, health inspector, power cuts - the list seems endless. So Roger has to do everything within his power and using his cunning to help the people - even if he has to go to the extreme of bring down the US government.

Wow - Roger certainly outdid himself in this story. I loved that this time he was doing good for other people and not for himself. The story was well written and everything was really clear. There was a lot of detail and I could feel their thoughts and emotions as they went through the various frustrations as they tried hard to help people. I definitely cheered at what Roger did at the end - I just wish he could do that now too.

Review: Beginner's Luck: An Urban Fantasy Adventure by J.A. Cipriano 5 of 5 stars

Beginner's Luck: An Urban Fantasy Adventure Beginner's Luck: An Urban Fantasy Adventure by J.A. Cipriano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Seth Wyatt lives in the secret magical city underneath Las Vegas. He has the skills to be very successful there - a great poker face, fast hands a magic tiger and a way with the ladies. He's finally able to enter the Four Skulls poker tournament for the magical prize. However he has a few problems - a dark elf who is sore that Seth won a powerful magical artefact from him and the winner of the tournament last year. So can Seth make it to the tournament as he's looking forward to a decent challenge.

I loved this story which was a great start to the series. Seth was a really interesting character who had a lot of skills not only in poker but in staying alive too. I loved the detailed descriptions of the people and their thoughts and emotions as so many dramatic things happened. There were some really interesting characters and I can't wait until I can read later books in the series so we find out what has happened to them. A great story that was very enjoyable.

Review: The Hammer: An Epic Fantasy Harem Adventure by J.A. Cipriano 5 of 5 stars

The Hammer: An Epic Fantasy Harem Adventure The Hammer: An Epic Fantasy Harem Adventure by J.A. Cipriano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gharrik Anzar is the King's Champion and does through a portal into another world with his hammer in order to stop whoever is sending monsters into his world. However he cannot take anything through with him and it is a very basic world with no technology. So in order to win he will need to build an army, and kit them out with weapons and armour that are not even discovered there yet as he has to march them through battalions or all sorts of strange creatures he has never imagined let alone met before. Just as well they sent The Hammer.

Wow - this was a great story with lots of different supernatural beings, creatures and magic as Gharrik fought his way through all the obstacles he found in his way. All through the various trials he faced he retained his integrity, humanity and compassion - it's no wonder he gained followers, alliances and life partners as part of that process. There was lots of drama, danger and intrigue which has me very curious as to what will happen in the next instalment in the story. Well written and definitely lots of detail to appeal to lovers of science fiction, fantasy, the supernatural and romance.

Review: Star Conqueror: Recompense: An Epic Space Harem Adventure by J.A. Cipriano 5 of 5 stars

Star Conqueror: Recompense: An Epic Space Harem Adventure Star Conqueror: Recompense: An Epic Space Harem Adventure by J.A. Cipriano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

David Briggs became a dragon and suddenly found himself breaking the chains binding the most powerful and beautiful warriors from a vicious high priestess. He freed the Left Hand of the High Priestess but has decided to make a bold step in order to turn the tide of the war - he has decided to go for another of the high ranking women and free her (and those she currently rules under the High Priestess) in order to free even more people. Can he succeed and get the huge payback he will get from this success?

Goodness - lots of drama, danger and intrigue in this episode of the story of David Briggs and his growing harem of women to help him defeat the High Priestess. These stories have lots of twists and turns which definitely keep you on your toes as you read it. Well written with everything clearly explained and easy to feel and understand. As I mentioned there is a harem in this story but there isn't any overabundance of sex and intimacy.

Review: Heaven's a Beach by Erin R. Bedford by J.A. Cipriano 5 of 5 stars

Heaven's a Beach Heaven's a Beach by Erin R. Bedford by
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jane can see archangels - Michael, Lucifer and Gabriel - each with their own skills and talents. It's not easy to juggle at three so she gives each of them the right level of attention, but she wouldn't have it any other way. When a new case opens at a local beach resort and she gets an expenses paid vacation and all she needs to do is catch the crooks what's not to love about it. Only the fact that she really does still have to solve the case......

Another great story about Jane and her archangels. I love the way she is so human in the way she acts and behaves (even if she does have a weird sense of humour and a mouth with no volume button at times). The mystery with the crimes was suitably complex while the complications caused by Jane and the guys added seamlessly into the story and the way it developed. I loved the ending and what it promises for the next story and can't wait to read that. Well written and very enjoyable. Easy to understand and empathise with the characters. All I can say is I feel sorry for her best friend Mandy and it is just as well she loves her enough to cope with her sense of humour/personality.

Review: The Dragon's War by Lila Jean by J.A. Cipriano 5 of 5 stars

The Dragon's War The Dragon's War by Lila Jean by
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Past nobody and current home to the fertility goddess, Tina Andrews has been through so much but life is still not easy for her. Yes she has fame, money, power and 5 super hot men to look after her needs, but others are determined to destroy her and take the goddesses powers for themselves. So she comes up with a plan - keep her men safe, find out and expose who is framing her for the murders they are committing, stop the shifter war that is just around the corner and a new one on her list - stop the powerful socialite from killing her or draining her power - simple yes?

Wow - so many things were happening at the same time the poor girl must have wondered what else could have gone wrong. However never to be beaten, she used intelligence and logic to tackle everything that needed attention and worked her way through the list. It was lovely to see how her men supported her through everything that was happening as well as the way they supported each other. I loved the way the story developed and moved between all the problems. It was so nice to read about such a strong woman that really was trying to do the right thing but was just being attacked by other people left, right and centre. I loved the way the story finished and really hope these two authors work together again on another epic story. It was well written and I could feel, empathise and understand everything. I definitely found myself reading faster as the story developed - I need to know what was happening next or who the mysterious person framing her.

Review: The Wolf's Hunt by Lila Jean by J.A. Cipriano 5 of 5 stars

The Wolf's Hunt The Wolf's Hunt by Lila Jean by
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tina is fused with the Goddess Damara and has 5 shifter Princes as her mates but that seems to not be the way to a final quiet life - so many people are coming onto the scene and they all seem to want her powers or to kill her. However to get there she has to master the new magic she has, protect her princes, work out who is trying to frame her for murder and stay alive when 3 of the legendary gods come down to earth. Sounds like apiece of cake surely?

Wow - this is a great second book in the series. It had so much drama, danger and intrigue that I was hooked all the way through. Tina was a great character who managed to keep her personality and will even though she was fused with Damara. Her Princes were not only hot but clever with it too. It was well written and it was easy to understand and feel all the thoughts and emotions of the characters in the story.

Review: Company Ink by J.A. Cipriano 4 of 5 stars

Company Ink Company Ink by J.A. Cipriano
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

You would think Roger has it made - a magic pen that means whatever he writes is true, hot capable women that do his bidding, his best friend and a home base in Las Vegas - what more could he want? However another pen user with a power different to him has set their sights on Las Vegas so Roger decides no one threatens his women nor his city! So he ends up in Monaco where he befriends the former Miss Tennessee, plays high stakes poker and hobnobs with the eccentric and super rich. Can he defeat this new threat?

Wow - this story was definitely a roller-coaster of a ride through danger after danger as he used his magic pen to try and deal with and overcome this new threat from this other pen user that was different in their powers. I have to say he was rather easily distracted in his will to be some kind of love machine with his harem of women but he did manage to concentrate hard enough to deal with this new threat. It was well written and easy to understand although at times I found the story a bit manic so my advice would be to just stick with it as it will get better in later sections.

Maya and her mates might have thought they were safe but when one of her mates is kidnapped through treachery at a time when there is also a time of chaos her world spins. Thankfully the large army that comes from the West has her sister leading them. Can Maya master new powers, save the missing mate and rally everyone to finally bring peace back to the land and get her own HEA?

Wow - this last instalment in the story didn't disappoint. There was plenty of drama, danger and magic in this thrilling finale. I could definitely feel and empathise with her when one of her mates was taken away from her and could definitely relate to the frustration she was feeling. Definitely recommended. It definitely helps to have read the previous story first otherwise you might not understand what happened.

Star Conqueror: An Epic Space Adventure Star Conqueror: An Epic Space Adventure by J.A. Cipriano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

David Briggs is a ex-marine and now office worker who does the ultimate and beats the final level of the game Star Conqueror when all of a sudden his life changes completely. He gains the power to become a fire-breathing dragon and is recruited by alien freedom fighters to save the people in the galaxy from the evil empress (just like in the game). However it seems in order to succeed he has to free super hot female warriors from mind control and fight his way through armies of machines.

This was a sci/fi action adventure book of the highest order. It had pretty much everything. I loved the background story of how the whole adventure starts (no not giving that away sorry) and the way the story developed. The characters were definitely 3D and I could empathise and feel their thoughts and emotions as the story developed. There is plenty of action, drama and excitement in this story and as series starts go this one is great. I just need to read the next one now as I just have to know what happens next.

I loved this story - it was such fun to read and a really clever concept to use for a RH story. The guys were described very well and it was easy to understand their differences, skills and talents. Jane was a delight and I only wish she was my friend as I know I would enjoy her sense of fun.

All of a sudden she has powers and magic and five hot shifter princes fighting over her. Can she persuade them to share her and can she avoid dying at the hands of the priestesses?

Loved the premise of this story and the way it built up and was developed. I can see that many different things can happen with this so I'm looking forward to reading where this goes next. I just wish I had a problem deciding between all of those hot men! Nicely written and very enjoyable. A great start to this new series with is own fair share of excitement, drama and danger.

Maya and her mates had to flee for their lives to the Ice Dragon Clan when Raiden's mother staged a bloody coup to take over the Lightening Kingdom. Now they are in a brutal set of games to prove themselves in order to get help to rescue the rest of Raiden's family. Can they continue their speciality of beating the odds whilst staying warm?

It was great to finally get the next instalment of the story and find out what happened next to the mates. It didn't disappoint with lots of danger, intrigue and twists and turns as they fought their way through the games and prove their skill in comparison to the best of the dragons in the north. It was well told and everything was very clear and easy to understand. Only problem is that I've now got to wait for the next book to find out what happens next. I'm definitely looking forward to the potential twist hinted at towards the end.

Aika has a hidden ability awaken in her and that's when the trouble starts. How is she supposed to handle caring for her sick mother, studying for her medical degree and running their restaurant before this new ability to summon monsters? However when her mother is taken she can't ignore it anymore and ends up working with 2 shamans who are willing to train her as they help. Can she work out what is going on with her two helpers and her attraction to them whilst rescuing her mum?

WOW - if I could give this more than 5 stars I would. There was so much drama, mystery and action woven into this mystical story around an ancient Japanese folklore that I was hooked from start to finish. I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it until 3 am. I have loved books written individually by both these authors and thought it was worth a try and was blown away - these guys need to write together more.

Please note this is heading towards a MFM scenario so if you are not comfortable with that you may want to give this a skip, although you will miss out on a great book.

Maya Rose told everyone she was pregnant to ensure her suitors stayed alive, but this lie could be their undoing. Add to that the way she can add power to the ones she has mated with and the world is becoming a much more dangerous place for them. They travel to Raiden's home to seek refuge with the lightening dragons but his mother knows the truth and her price is very high for her silence - something that horrifies Maya. Can she play the old woman at her own game and what will her mates make of this situation?

Lots of drama and danger in this second part of the series. Through it all everything stays good between Maya and her three mates and they cope well with everything that is thrown at them. It was nice to see their relationships develop a bit more and for the four of them to be even more of a cohesive unit. Everything was very clear and easy to understand. I could feel all the thoughts and emotions between the characters and shared their outrage at Raiden's mother and what she was trying to do.

Please note that this is a reverse harem story and does contain scenes involving sex.

Riding Lightning: A Reverse Harem Dragon Fantasy Riding Lightning: A Reverse Harem Dragon Fantasy by Erin Bedford by J.A. Cipriano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Maya Rose has a major problem - as a dragon shifter she has to find a mate and produce and heir soon to avoid a disaster for her kingdom. Her father gathers several heroes from neighbouring kingdoms and sends both her and them on a joint quest which is supposed to end with a good result for the quest AND for her to pick one, marry them and produce this heir - the rest will only have death to look forward to. However how is she to choose when they are all hot, sexy and wonderful guys? Is there any rule that says she HAS to choose just the ONE?

I LOVED this book. The authors were careful to make sure there was enough interest that the indecision didn't become too irritating (which was a really fine line to tread) so it was done well. The guys were suitably unique so it was easy to work out the difference between them and they had different personalities which seemed to complement each other well. It got me hooked and so I'm definitely wanting to read the next instalment in the story. Well written and a very enjoyable read.
