The Dragon's Christmas Treasure by Sophie Stern
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a novella-length story. Noam King never liked Christmas as he thinks it is the one time of year when people act badly towards each other either fighting over gifts, arguing about standing in line or harassing shopkeepers. His mother insists he is just grouchy because he is lonely but he really doesn't think that is true. Heather has been a single mother alone for along time as she runs for what feels like forever. She finds Christmas stressful as she struggles to keep food on the table for both her and her son as well as having one that is wonderful. When he meets Heather Noam has a choice to make - stay grouchy and lonely or change and take the chance that life has presented him with and have a future with his Christmas mate? After all, every dragon deserves a treasure.
This was a really sweet story of love and fate where Noam fought it, but it really was a pointless exercise. A really sweet story to give you a smile over the Christmas season. Well written and very enjoyable.
