Wyvern shifter Jasper Wessex has just been given the assignment to protect a woman who is on the run from a minor Egyptian Demon. Normally as his father is currently ailing he would have passed on this one, but when he looks at her photo he knows that he cannot resist the owner of those flashing blue eyes. Friends with the Wyvern's assignment handler Jennifer Dylluan, recently divorced sculptor Carolina Moore has just returned from a trip to Egypt spending time on an archaeological dig, she has returned with an unfortunate souvenir - and ancient Egyptian Demon who will stop at nothing to claim her. Then she has another dilemma - what happens when her protector poses more of a threat to her than the person she was running from?
This was a great first story in this new series where a family of wyverns are working on cases which seem to result in them meeting their fated mates in dangerous circumstances. Well written, I really enjoyed this story which was definitely addictive as it focussed on a sassy BBW who was not going to be dictated to by any man no matter how sexy he was. I loved the ending and am looking forward to the next instalment in the series. Contains explicit sexual content.
