Review: My December Daddy by Leta Blake 3 of 5 stars

My December Daddy

My December Daddy by Leta Blake
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Matthew Angel is stuck. He's spent his life denying who he is and what he truly want until he stumbles upon a unique offering at a specialty charity auction. Erik Garner has given up on relationships. After his last boy left, he decided it’s better to skip the heartache and stick with casual, short-term contracts. His offer of an exclusive, one-night-only Christmas encounter is all he’s willing to give. Matthew’s older than expected, but his shy smile and eager surrender charm Erik. What starts out as a business transaction quickly gives way to a wild, thrilling intensity neither expected. One night isn’t enough. Good thing there’s a blizzard on the way.

This was a sweet story of a man taking a chance to experience what he has dreamed about for years and the Daddy who helped him. I loved the care that Erik took with Matthew and how the love between them developed slowly. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Courageous Hearts

Courageous Hearts by Emmy Sanders
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bo was out and proud as a nonbinary person which didn’t come easy, but he's finally found his place. He has an amazing work family at the cabaret bar where he performs, Chicago fits him better than his Texas hometown ever did, and he's truly happy. Especially once Jameson walks into his life. The new bartender accepts him effortlessly for who he is, and the man is more than easy on the eyes. In fact, the way he looks out for Bo is giving him all sorts of ideas, even though those cuddles were purely platonic. Weren’t they? But Bo has more on his mind than finding Mr. Right. His brother Diesel won’t stop hounding him, which means it’s time to face the very thing he's been avoiding for years. He needs to return to Plum Valley and confront his past. Jameson has never met anyone quite like Bo. Every time they’re up on stage in their makeup and heels, he watches them. When that shy blush spreads over their cheeks off-stage, he stares. And when he finds them crying in the storage room after a difficult conversation with their brother, he can’t help but soothe away their tears. He always assumed he was only attracted to women, but suddenly, he's questioning everything. Including his reaction to the sight of Bo in lingerie. He might have a lot to figure out, like whether or not Bo is interested in me. But he thinks it’s fairly safe to say he's not as straight as he thought he was.

I loved this story with Bo finding a found family and life that gave him the freedom to be himself. I loved that Jameson was open to a change in his preferences and that love was possible in many ways. Their relationship was beautiful and I thought that the way that Jameson supported Bo at home was great. A lot of feelings and emotions in this story as they both did some soul searching. This was an MX story with mature content.

Review: The Forbidden Omega by Jacey Davis 3 of 5 stars

The Forbidden Omega

The Forbidden Omega by Jacey Davis
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Luke had a bi-awakening in his 50s which was a shock. Joel came out of nowhere and rocked his foundations. As a widower too, he understood Luke in a way no one else ever has. Being with Joel wasn't only his first time with a man, he's also polyamorous, and kinky. Luke thought meeting his other boyfriend would make it easier for him. But, never in a million years did he expect his boyfriend to be Cameron, his son’s best friend. After Cameron moved to New York and became a make-up artist, it took a lot to surprise him. Those Broadway types are wild! Joel's other man, his best friend's sexy, and very straight dad, Luke, was the curveball he never imagined. Joel cared about him a lot. Why wouldn't he? He's one of the best men he's ever met!  After Joel lost his soul mate, his late husband, he never thought he'd find love again. Luke and Cameron bulldozed their way into his life, and he found himself falling head over heels for them both. Once we got over the shock of who Cameron was to Luke, it became obvious just how good we were together. All three of us together, not just Joel with each of them. On paper, they had to look strange, but with all the recent talk of fated mates and all the other changes in the world, he had to wonder, could Cameron and Luke be his?

I enjoyed this story with the three men who were in a relationship with each other. There were some negotiations as the two different relationships became one as it changed to include the three of them. I enjoyed the fact that Luke's children were so open minded. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content.

Review: How to Summon a Memory by Morgan Lysand 5 of 5 stars

How to Summon a Memory

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Witch Ethan wonders who is the beautiful demonic stranger in his dreams? But between teaching at Hex University and preparing for his unfortunate nuptials to a fellow witch, he doesn’t have time to explore why the demon seems so familiar.  Warwick has been searching for his best friend, Ethan, for six years. One minute he stood in front of him, finally ready to make his crossroads deal to free him of his arranged marriage, the next he’s gone and he took his heart with him. He'll do anything to find him, if only to tell him off for leaving right when they could finally be together. Colour him surprised when one night Ethan walks through the door of the bar he's moping in. But he’s not the same sweet, goofy boy Warwick fell in love with. No, this is a man who has forgotten him and his true self. Will his crossroads magic be enough to bring back his memories?

I loved this story with the meddling family members and the two men who loved each other but forces were against them. I thought it was particularly cruel to make Ethan forget Warwick. There were a lot of feelings and emotions that were easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Cried Out by Kate Hawthorne 4 of 5 stars

Cried Out

Cried Out by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brooks is the same as the rest of his friends, but also nothing like them. Handsome as many and richer than most, getting men to come home with him has never been a problem. At least, not until he met Tate Barlowe at The Black Door. He’s younger and less experienced, but more than willing. He also sneaks out before Brooks can get his phone number, leaving him to rethink everything between them. Tate had spent months of trying and failing to lose his virginity, so decided a little lie is in order. Astor Brooks basically falls into his lap, so falling into his bed is the easy choice. He's not after a relationship, and even though he wants me to stay when we're done, he doesn’t see the need. The problem, he later finds out, is that Brooks is one of a kind in every way. Leaving Brooks high and dry was a bad decision, but once again fate brings them together, and he's ready for another chance. The problem is, Tate lied to him about more than one thing, and Brooks won’t take what he doesn’t trust. He wants Astor Brooks, and he's not giving him up without a fight. He's never met a man like him, and he never will again, but he’s never met a man like me either. The way he loves is like nothing he's ever experienced, and even though he makes him cry, Tate likes it, loves it and loves him. There’s so much in this world outside of their control, but when he's on my knees for him, everything makes sense. Now, Tate just has to make sure he feels the same.

I enjoyed this story with the two men who were into the same kink and who were almost obsessed with each other. I loved their relationship and that they knew that they were perfectly matched. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. This was an MM story with mature content.

Corinne Adler, Night Concierge for the famed Savoy Hotel, knows just how wrong that legend is for each time Big Ben has struck thirteen, demons have tried to escape their prison in another realm. The responsibility of being Guardian of the Tower Clock has fallen to her, a duty which her family has served for almost two centuries. Eddy Chastain is the last of the reoccurring characters in the erotic romance novels written by Sage Matthews. He is a hacker extraordinaire and prefers to remain deep within the pages of Sage’s books. But there is something about the Night Concierge of the Savoy that haunts him -  a memory of sorts from a man whose creator never gave him much of a backstory. When the stars align to cause Big Ben to strike thirteen, Corinne knows she and the lions must defeat the demons and keep the city safe. But the veil has become strained and the demons more clever. Can Eddy come to Corinne’s aid and keep the forces of evil at bay?

Review: His Master by M.M. Farmer 4 of 5 stars

His Master

His Master by M.M. Farmer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Simon had no idea what to expect from his first experiment with the Dark Fantasies Club. An easy way to indulge during heat without consequences? A chance to explore the more subservient part of his personality? He knew anything was possible. What he didn't expect was to end up at the centre of someone else’s family drama or to want to be a part of it with my whole heart. For Victor playing around with a random omega from the Dark Fantasies Club was supposed to help him let off some steam, not make him hotter than he's ever been before. But Simon isn't like any other omega, and too big a part of Victor wants him to belong to him for real. The timing couldn't be worse, though. Not when, after all these years, his corrupt uncle finally opened a door for him to take over the family business and set it back on the right track. But doing the right thing with Victory Holdings comes with more danger than he ever thought possible, and when Simon becomes a pawn at the centre of the game, Victor would do anything to protect the omega he wasn't supposed to fall in love with.

I loved this story of the two men who were only supposed to be together for a set time but they were so compatible that they fell in love. I enjoyed the complex situation with Victor's family and how the men handled it. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Possession by Kiki Clark 5 of 5 stars

Possession

Possession by Kiki Clark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Being the boss has left no room for things like love and family in Tomas’s life. He tells himself he doesn’t mind, that the work he and his MC do is more important than his cold bed at night. He almost has himself convinced. But as tensions heat up between the MC and the community, a pair of boys in need of affection and a firm hand disrupt his orderly days and leave him aching to possess them at night. Mason is sweet and obedient, his dark eyes begging for things Tomas has only fantasised about. But Vinnie’s submission is wrapped in a hard outer shell he’ll need to carefully crack open to uncover the good boy underneath. It isn’t just Tomas’s heart on the line—it’s the legacy of the Devil’s Hands. And he’s not willing to trade one for the other. His boys are everything he’s ever wanted, and the club’s work is something he’s not willing to sacrifice to appease hateful bystanders. It’s time for a reminder of just who the hell they’re dealing with.

I loved this story with the three men - two who had loved each other and been together for years and the third man who completed their relationship and kept them all on an even keel. A lot of raw emotions and feelings were discussed in this story which covered all three men. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content.

Review: The Mistrustful Mountain Lion's Omega by Lorelei M. Hart 3 of 5 stars

The Mistrustful Mountain Lion's Omega

The Mistrustful Mountain Lion's Omega by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jagger spoke to a friend who was happy because of his omega who he met through an app so she spent time filling it in to find someone for himself.  Two days later, they claimed they’d found someone for him, but he thought it was too good to be true. Second-guessing himself, he deleted the app. Ready to make a fresh start, Rex signed up with the Male-Order app. The app pinged him saying it found a match, almost 100 per cent, but the guy never answered any of his messages. He was gorgeous and had his own business. And since Rex is pretty damned good with a computer, he tracked him down. And now that he's there, he doesn’t know what in the heck he was thinking. This Jagger guy is not his type. He’s rugged and bearded and all the things he’d always claimed he didn’t want. So why is it his body and his animal practically demand he hops over that bar and formally introduce himself?

This was a sweet story but Jagger's determination to resist Rex became a little tiring. I did also think that even when mated their communication was not good and not as respectful as it should be. Not as enjoyable a story as it should have been. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Swan Hearts

Swan Hearts by Emmy Sanders
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

There are three things that Jake and his best friend Nash Dupree are good at. Fishing. Fighting. And another F-word that sure isn’t friendship. Nash has been by his side for the last thirty years, but despite their long, complicated history, there are some things the town bartender still keeps close to his chest. And now those secrets are threatening to tear them apart. Nash may be running from his feelings and tackling ghosts only he can see, but Jake refuses to let him run away from his just because he’s scared. Jake loves that stubborn fool, and after everything we’ve been through, he's not giving him up without a fight. Since Nash set eyes on Jake Hanson, he’s had his hook in him. No matter how hard he tried to keep the lines of their friendship from being muddled, he was powerless to resist his pull. But the big-hearted veterinarian deserves more than Nash can give. And if he found out the truths he's been hiding, he’d see him as another pet project to doctor and mend. All Nash can do now is make things right. And hopefully, when he's long gone from Plum Valley, Texas, Jake will finally understand the truth. That he’s better off without Nash and always has been.

I wanted to like this book as I have the others in this series, but the constant dips into the past became annoying. It distracted me to the point that I just wanted the book to end. This was an MM book with mature content.

Review: Tristan by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Tristan

Tristan by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tristan had volunteered his assistance on Mason’s case, as Jasper needs men he can count on. Tristan wasn’t expecting to meet the very interesting new coroner, but, as the bodies pile up and the mystery deepens, Tristan appreciates her expertise and the spark between them. Amarylis had no idea working on Coronado base would be so interesting or so dangerous. Apparently someone watched her during her work at the scene of a shooting, noting she had picked up something which someone wanted badly. Now in danger and caught up in Tristan’s case, Amarylis can only hope he gets to the bottom of this mess, before she ends up on her own table in the morgue.

I loved this story with the on going mystery of who shot Mason and why merged seamlessly with the mystery as to who was after the item Amarylis picked up and how determined they were to find it or eliminate anyone who failed to find it. I loved how feisty Amarylis was and how protective Tristan was of her. Easy to read, feel and understand.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Wolf Assassin's Mate

The Wolf Assassin's Mate by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Being a protector isn’t supposed to be easy or glamorous. Hammer never expected it to be. We have one job: to keep shifter-kind safe from those who would do us harm. Sometimes that means doing the ugly and violent things others want to pretend don’t happen. He's fine with all of that, knowing he's making the world a better place. When he gets his new mission, he plans to go in, annihilate the threat, and get out. Easy peasy. Only it’s anything but when he finds himself face-to-face with his true mate being held against his will and very, very pregnant. My oath as a protector no longer matters. He has two jobs to do - save his mate and shut down the breeding ring holding him captive - the one run by “the good guys” he works for.

This was a story which started well but then left a lot of open questions like what is the shifter mafia and why do the other members have such weird names like "pop-tart" ? There was a lot of repeated dialog due to the changing POVs. This was set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Shameless by Lola Malone
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Austin was Connor's secret college crush, his obsession for three years. Until he found out, punished and humiliated him and then promised to hunt Connor down.
Now, with graduation behind him, He returned to NY, to the top of his so-called ivory tower, where his family rules the underground scene with an iron fist. Austin might be a cocky playboy with a gorgeous smile, but Connor is done with this obsession. Only he's not. Because Austin turned out to be a member of the Void, a rival mafia family. And when a murderous sex cult begins to drop bodies on both sides, guess who's assigned to accompany Connor to Paris to investigate their mutual enemy? Yeah. And he can't keep his hands off. Today must be Austin's lucky day. Because that shy, socially awkward guy from college has just walked right back into his life. Spluttering and blushing, so damn sweet. The ultimate definition of a turn-on. Only this trip to Paris is not quite what he expected. What should have been standard procedure, turns out to be a mind-altering event, and that’s not just the murderous sex-cult they're facing. There’s something about Connor. He’s so much more. He wanted to have him. He just never thought he'd want to keep him.

I enjoyed this story although I did find some parts a little confusing plus I did dislike Austin at times as he was such a bully. The plot with the cult was interesting though. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was a MM story with mature content.

The Unlikely Heir

The Unlikely Heir by Jax Calder
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Callum's boring life working in an insurance call centre in sunny California took an unexpected turn when thanks to his misbehaving relatives, he leapt from obscurity to royalty as the new heir to the British throne. But his welcome in England is about as warm as the weather. He arrives to discover a country horrified at the thought of an American version of Prince Charming and ready to revolt against the monarchy. He vows to his grandmother, the queen, that he will do everything possible to help her save the crown. Unfortunately, royal life isn’t easy. From bewildering traditions, traitorous friends, and malevolent swans, the only thing he's succeeding in is providing entertainment for the tabloids and social media trolls. Then the broodingly handsome prime minister, Oliver Hartwell, bursts into his life. With his meteoric rise from poverty to the most powerful man in the country, Oliver understands his current plight. Innocent messages of support turn into late-night chats and unexpected feelings. But there’s one major problem. The royal family must remain politically neutral at all times. So how can he keep his promise to save the monarchy when he's falling in love with the prime minister?

This was a mixture between a comedy and a love story. I loved the bad jokes, the compassion and the love that existed between Callum and Oliver. Easy to read, feel and understand you will smile, laugh and feel sad when reading this story.  Remember to be cautious near birds! This was an MM story with mature content.

The Brooding Bear's Omega by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sheppard Knox is the alpha of his bear pack. And that takes up all his time. He’s always been taught his life as a leader should be pack first and self second. Such thinking leaves little time for a mate, much less dating. When his beta goes behind his back and signs him up for the Male-Order app, he blows it off, thinking it is all nonsense. Except his pack takes it one step too far. Out of nowhere, an omega knocks on the door claiming he was ordered from the app . Toklo Chase is a polar bear who has spent his life raising his siblings, caring for each of them until they were old enough to leave home. His parents died fighting for what they believed in, but now, he wants to take his own life by the horns or the claws. So when he matches almost 100 per cent with a grizzly from the Pacific Northwest, he recognises his chance. Without a second thought, he packs everything and takes it.

Virgin Hearts by Emmy Sanders

Hawthorne has lived in the same small town his entire life. And I like being a rancher, taking care of his chickens, and even his meddlesome family. What he doesn’t like is the limited dating options. He's gay, and at thirty-six years old, he's never been with a man. When he enters a contest to win his favourite adult entertainer’s support for the town’s first Pride Parade, he never expects to win. And he never expected to find himself in a friends-with-benefits relationship with the man. The problem is he quickly realised that he wanted more. But could someone as confident, sexy, and independent as Silver ever consider building a life with a simple cowboy like him? Mateo's work is his life. Filming under the moniker Silver, he's happy enough making good money, he's free from his crummy past and well on his way to the career he dreams about, and he's not looking for any complications. Hawthorne Moore, has a sweet-as-molasses drawl, an adorable gap-toothed smile, and the beautiful way in which he begs, and suddenly, Mateo finds himself getting in too deep. And that’s a problem because he's spent years building up these walls around his heart, and he doesn’t know how to bust them down. Can he work through his trauma and lasso himself a cowboy, or will he lose the only man who’s ever loved him?

I loved this story with the shy and inexperienced cowboy and the traumatised but gentle man who hid behind his porn persona. This had plenty of feelings and emotions as they both faced their demons. Review: The Lonely Lynx's Omega by Lorelei M. Hart 3 of 5 stars

The Lonely Lynx's Omega

The Lonely Lynx's Omega by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ever since seeing my best friends with their new family, something inside me has clicked.
Roman is done with the old Roman. He was a player and damned good at it. He doesn’t want to play anymore. He wants an omega and the family - someone to come home to.
Without telling anyone, he's applied for a Male-Order omega and is waiting for that beep, telling him that they’ve found him one. If they do half as well as they did for my friend at the ranger station, he knows they’ll have a happy life. Salem had a crush on Roman ever since college. He had intended to reveal his love for him the night before he left for Norway for a foreign exchange student program. But after a whirlwind of events and some unexpected turns in his life, he stayed in Norway and ended up finishing college there and starting a career as an architect. Sure his long-ago crush would have found someone by now, but he applied on the Male-Order app. Imagine his shock of being paired with Roman and they are a 99 per cent match.

I enjoyed this story but there was too much focus on Roman being a player in the past and there was a gap in how Salem ended his relationship in Norway and how his belongings were transported - surely he had to go back to close everything and ship stuff? There were also a few gaps in the conclusion of the guy who was obsessed with Roman where we knew the conclusion but not all of the details. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Papa Bear for Darius by Lorelei M. Hart 3 of 5 stars

Papa Bear for Darius

Papa Bear for Darius by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Omega Darius was always the antithesis of everything prized in his pack - something they reminded him of often as a child when his skinny physique and academic goals kept him on the outside looking in. Leaving his pack to attend university while most of the pups are just beginning high school has given him the freedom to explore all the academics he’s always longed to, but something is missing. Even years later when he finds his roommate and they form their own makeshift pack, he still feels off-centre, like there’s a hole in his life. And then he’s invited to the shifter hotspot Animals for their annual Halloween party. This will change everything. He can feel it. He just has no idea how much. Alpha Bruin spends his life travelling across the country installing eco-friendly updates to businesses. It’s a rewarding job, but a very lonely life. Not that he has anything to go back to. When his brother took over as clan leader, Bruin was given an ultimatum. He could challenge his brother or accept exile. Knowing a challenge would lead to his brother’s death, he chose never to return. The sacrifice has been worth it. Mostly. His latest work project, the club Animals, turns out to feel more like home than any place he’s been since his clan. When the project ends, he isn’t ready yet to leave, willingly accepting an invitation to their Halloween shindig. When Darius and Bruin meet it’s lust at first sight. Darius brings out the daddy in Bruin who helps him discover a side of himself he never suspected he had. If only it wasn’t Bruin’s last day at Animals and in the country, for that matter.

This was a sweet little story as fate (with a little help) put Bruin and Darius together. Bruin was very caring and gentle which Darius needed at times. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set on the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: For the Rest of Forever by Becca Neil 4 of 5 stars

For the Rest of Forever

For the Rest of Forever by Becca Neil
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Greg Westin’s thriving career as a landscape photographer is a passion he’s built and cultivated for decades. Although he’s now well into his mid-fifties, Greg is always looking forward, eager for the next mountain to climb, the next trail to hike, the next photo to capture. His love of nature and photography is second only to his love for his husband, Allen - a man with a heart of gold and more kindness and compassion than anyone he’s ever known. Allen Westin has worked hard to build a life he loves - a life that is not defined by the trauma he suffered in his childhood, but by the community and people he’s surrounded himself with. His career at the public library in the small town of North Bend, Washington has given him a sense of purpose and fulfilment, and his marriage to his best friend and husband, Greg, has filled his life with joy, love, and adventure. But when an incident at the library sets off Allen’s deeply rooted anxiety and depression, he and Greg have to face a new challenge - one where the next mountain to be conquered isn’t out on the trail at all. They must trust in the depth of their love to help them find their footing as they forge ahead into the next phase of their journey toward their forever, together.

This is a very emotional read as Allen and Greg go through a very emotional time as Allen struggles with his depression and anxiety. I loved the unconditional support from Greg although he had to do some soul searching as he tried his best to support Allen. They also had some key friends who supported them both in their own way. Easy to read, feel and understand you will feel emotional at times. This was an MM story with mature content.

Grayscale

Grayscale by Vinni George
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cal Hunter didn’t hate Jack Grayson the moment he met him. He liked the arrogant great white shark shifter until Jack left Cal zip-tied to a bed and stole Cal’s job. Now, every time their paths cross, things get heated, and they both have the scars to prove it. Jack has always worked better alone, but there is something about Cal he can’t get out of his system. So it shouldn’t be a problem when they are forced to work together to figure out who is after one of the most famous pieces of stolen art in the world. But both men are keeping secrets that compromise their mission, and when Jack’s life is threatened, Cal has to decide if holding on to his secrets is worth it. Turns out fate has one hell of a sense of humour.

I really enjoyed this story of the two men who tried to ignore their importance to each other but in the end, had to work together and accept what fate had in store for them. Lots of drama and some danger in this story as they follow leads from country to country looking for the missing painting. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. Review: The Dreamboat by Emerson Beckett by Rheland Richmond

The Dreamboat

stars

They call him Dreamboat for a reason. His friends say he'd flirt with his shadow if it got him laid, and they're not wrong. As a former Navy SEAL, he's highly trained to handle dangerous situations. The security firm he works for with his three best friends in Portland has given him a new lease on life, away from danger. Everything is great until he pissed off the wrong people. And they want him dead. Now this protector needs a protector. And he happens to be the one man he can't forget. The one he hooked up with a few months ago in Vegas. The one who sees him for who and what he is and still seems to want him. And that’s scarier than any enemy he's ever faced.

I loved this story as the Dreamboat finally met his match and got his HEA. I loved all of the emotions and feelings covered in this story. I also enjoyed catching up with all of the other couples in this series. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Sunshine by Kiki Clark by E.M. Lindsey 4 of 5 stars

Sunshine

Sunshine by Kiki Clark by E.M. Lindsey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There’s a fine line between hate and fated mates.
Jeremiah has better things to do than babysit the bratty crown prince of the Sirens. His personal protection agency is the best though and the king and queen won’t settle for less. Being a practically invulnerable Hellhound doesn't hurt either. Remi’s selfish and uncaring attitude drives him crazy and confirms his suspicions about the prince being nothing more than a spoiled man-child. He doesn't care that the more time they spend together, the more possessive his Hellhound becomes of the little princeling. Or that it turns out first impressions might be misleading. Falling for a client is the last thing he can let happen. His name and his company’s reputation are on the line. He won’t be led around by his… instincts. When things begin to heat up between them though, he can’t deny their connection might just be destiny. One thing he knows for sure? Fire and water will always make steam.

This was a good story about a Siren/Human Prince and his Hellhound bodyguard who connected as Jeremiah and his team tried to work out who was trying to kill Remi and his siblings. I loved how sassy Remi was and how determined Jeremiah (Sunny). Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Waiting for Daddy Christmas

Waiting for Daddy Christmas by Lorelei M. Hart by Aria Grace
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Omega Noah’s first Christmas since losing his husband is looming, and everyone wants to help the poor widower. His neighbours invited him over, his family invited him over, even his ex’s best friend invited him over. Being around people who all pity him is the last way he wants to spend the holidays, so he does what any omega would do. He thinks up a story and he thinks it up quick. How would they know he isn't really spending his vacation in the mountains and hiding at home? It’s the perfect plan until his neighbour asks to use his place since he'll be gone. Now, he has no choice but to find that mountainside getaway after all. Alpha Cruz’s budget is busted when the family renting his cabin for the month of December backs out at the last minute. Scrambling to fill the space, he places an ad on a social media site and hopes for the best. Almost immediately, he has a renter, one whose profile both intrigues and saddens him. The poor omega lost his husband a year ago in a horrible accident. When the man can’t afford the rent and thanks him anyway, he does the only thing he can do and offers a discount. There’s just something about the sorrow in the man's voice. When the two of them meet, sparks fly, but Cruz knows better than to get involved with a client. He just tries to give the omega the best week he can. The plan goes well until mother nature comes in with a vengeance and they find themselves snowed in. More than just the fireplace heats up as the two get to know each other and feelings begin to bloom.

This was a sweet story of how Noah and Cruz met and fell in love. I liked the Christmas activities and loved the involvement of the white tailed deer. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Inherting The Mafia by Aja Foxx 5 of 5 stars

Inherting The Mafia

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

They were dead, all dead, an entire mafia family except Anthony. The bastard son of mafia boss Anthony D'Angelo, and that made him the new head of the family. But inheriting the mafia is not all it's cracked up to be. People want him dead. Vito is the underboss of a mafia family and when they were all taken out in a bombing, he wanted revenge. Before he could do that, he needed to track down the illegitimate son of his boss, a man he never knew about until now. He wasn't sure what to think of Tony when he found him, but he did know he had to keep him alive. He was the head of the family now and he was duty bound to serve him. He just wished he wasn't so attracted to him.

I loved this story with the mystery of who killed the family, who was trying to kill Tony while causing war between families mixed with the relationship between Tony and Vito. I loved this tie in with the Mafia Mayhem series families which added an anti gay slant on the story too. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story as past events as well as the future were analysed. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Conflicted by Lark Taylor 5 of 5 stars

Conflicted

Conflicted by Lark Taylor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Heaven has many rules for angels to follow, but one comes above all others. Angels and demons cannot fall in love. Angel Micah has been alive for millennia and has yet to meet his fated may and as leader of the Seraphim, Heaven’s most elite unit of angels, he doesn’t have time for love. But fate has other ideas. Meeting his mate on a battlefield outside Hell is surprising, to say the least. When you add in his uncanny resemblance to the man who broke his heart, it’s safe to say he's far from pleased. The fact that he’s a demon, his natural born enemy, is just icing on the cake of this is never going to happen with Nox. It’s not like Nox wants him either. He hates Micah with a ferocity he'd come to expect from his kind. The two of them never being together is the only thing they can agree on. Still, there’s a pull between them that neither of them can ignore, no matter how much they wish they could. What starts out as hate sex, a way to try and burn off the intensity between them, quickly blossoms into something more. Something dangerous. Something forbidden.

I loved this story of forbidden love that just couldn't be denied. It also uncovered something wrong which I'm sure the series will explore. This book had a lot of feelings and emotions that will pull at your heart and make you cry. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Oliver: an mm romance by Felicity Snow

Hunter returned home from college and discover that the man he slept with three months ago is the same man who is engaged to his mom, his world turns upside down. Then Oliver reveals some things about himself that have his heart softening towards him, and confesses that he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Hunter either.

I enjoyed this story where Hunter taught Oliver that he deserved to be himself and to be loved. However, I did find some parts of the story boring and irritating at times. I found it hard to feel the emotions that should be in this story. Easy to understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

The kind of secrets that lead to hot experimental kisses in front of a blazing fire, tentative physical exploration in a way he'd never imagined before, and the kind of intimate, true confessions he'd never even dreamed of between Parker and the one person who's always been his true home.

Hot as Heller

Hot as Heller by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Declan left LA for a reason. He'd had his fill of big Hollywood stars and their even bigger egos. He wants something genuine. Something real. And it doesn’t get any realer than being the new sheriff of Aster Valley, Colorado. That is, until entitled Finn Heller appears on the scene, handing me the keys to his convertible like Declan is his personal servant. The former child star and wannabe action hero is the hottest thing he's ever seen. He’s also a snarky party animal with legions of adoring fans and attitude for days. Or so he thought. The longer the film crew stays in town, the more he begins to wonder if Finn is hiding his true self, one that’s as beautiful inside as out. He’s a star alright, but the kind that shines bright enough to light up the night sky. A wish Finn will find a way to make things work with him, even if it means his next role is my very own leading man.

I loved this story as the two men learned more about each other and turned their lust into love which helped to give Finn the confidence to make some overdue changes in his life which was perfect for a life with Declan too. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Doubling Down: Las Vegas Littles

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Eric Smith is getting used to changes in his life and figuring things out as he goes. In a new undercover assignment Eric comes across a young man that calls to his very soul. Having done research into a Daddy and boy lifestyle has in no way prepared him for the feelings that Ezra Lee stirs up in him. Trying to find the source of the drug operation inside the casino, flirting with the cute barista, and taking care of his brother is keeping Eric busy. It’s a good thing that he has friends by his side ready to go to war with him. Ezra Lee gave up everything when he became a single father three years ago. Nothing is more important than his sweet little angel, not even his desire to be little, or finding a Daddy to call his own. The new security officer at the casino has Ezra wishing things were different though. Ezra has found a home with Lambert Entertainment and at the coffee shop located inside the casino. He has real friends, is making decent money, and can give his daughter everything she needs. So why does Ezra have the strongest desire to also give Eric Smith his heart?

This was a sweet story with some drama mixed into it. I loved Eric and how well he cared for his brother which prepared him for how he cared for Ezra and his angel. The drug dealing case involved the leader who was determined to have Ezra so it was great that Eric was well placed to protect him. Easy to read, feel and understand. Smoke Screen by Jacki James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If there is one thing club owner Jesse Harris knows, it’s that his best friend’s little brother Andy Ward is totally off limits. Too bad the sexy firefighter would be the perfect boy for him. Jesse had long given up on finding a boy that fit into his life. Instead, he satisfied his need to take care of others by creating a safe space at his club for Daddies and boys alike to find each other. And that’s enough for him, at least that’s what he keeps telling himself.n And it was, until his best friend’s little brother showed up, looking hot as sin, and desperately needing a Daddy with a firm hand. Now he’s trying his best to think of Andy as Victor’s kid brother, not as the perfect boy for him. Andy’s job means he is physically strong, but he’s still a boy, and when he becomes the target of a serial arsonist, all Jesse’s protective instincts kick in. He’ll protect what’s his come hell or high water, and make no mistake about it, Andy is his, even if he doesn’t know it yet.

I loved this story as Jesse struggled and failed to see Andy as anything other than a sexy boy that he wanted. I loved Andy and the family he had at Station 69. The arsonist is definitely escalating and so I am looking forward to the next book in this series when we find out who and why.  I loved Andy and Jesse together and was relieved that Victor was supportive of their relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Can Christmas get any crazier? A new case for Mack and, lucky for Doreen, she finds a cold case connected to it, making her year end on a high note. All the while she struggles to navigate gift giving and a special party that Nan wants to put on for her at Rosemoor except Doreen has to solve all kinds of issues, including the missing mistletoe, which Nan insists on having for the party. And then there are the secrets. Of course it’s Christmas, so maybe secrets are to be expected. However, when those secrets involve Nan, maybe Doreen should be worried after all.

This was a fun Christmas story which started with missing mistletoe, which led to a case to stop Doreen from getting bored while she also struggled to navigate the more normal parts of Christmas like gifts, food and parties. Saul by Victoria Sue
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

It could be argued that Calvin Jennings had many problems. Topping the list this year is his invitation to his bestie’s beach wedding, where the brother of the groom is the Daddy that threw him away last year. He has three options. Hide under his blankie and pretend he didn’t just get the invitation. Build a brick fort and post all his stuffies to mount a guard around his heart. Or call Rent-A-Daddy and get a pretend Daddy to escort him. The trouble with pretend? It isn’t real. Or is it?

Sweet as Honey

Sweet as Honey by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Sam rode his bike into Aster Valley, it was supposed to be temporary. A quick, relaxing visit with friends. No entanglements. Zero drama. But then he saw the bumblebee being harassed on the side of the highway. More specifically, he saw Truman Sweet, Aster Valley’s resident botanist, spice merchant, and bee-costume enthusiast, being harassed. And the second he got involved, all his plans for a quick departure scattered like pollen on the breeze. It turns out that Truman—adorkably shy, relentlessly sunshiny, hot as all heck, reluctantly-still-a-virgin Truman - has secrets. Secrets someone in this charming small town doesn’t want brought to light. Secrets that rouse every one of my protective instincts just as surely as his kisses rouses other parts of Sam. Sam will do whatever it takes to protect Truman from the dangers in his past, but after a lifetime of loneliness and disappointment, how can he possibly convince him to trust him with his future?

I loved this story but it also made me very sad that the town was so rotten and that Truman was so badly treated by so many people as well as his parents. I was pleased that he had an aunt and friends who were on his side. Sam was a conundrum as he defended Truman yet was happy for years to take the way that his family drained him emotionally and financially. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Enchanted Hearts

Enchanted Hearts by Jacey Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It wasn’t good to stand out in Lyndon's world. Ever since the existence of parahumans was discovered a few years back, humans made it their mission to make their lives as difficult as possible. That is why he preferred his little cabin in the middle of the woods. There were plenty of plants to work my Earth magic, and I was far enough away from society, and my meddling coven, to stay under the radar. Then one day, a portal opens up in the middle of his vegetable patch and out walks Darcy. Darcy couldn’t blend in, even if he wanted to, his reptilian appearance making it impossible. He’s loud, he’s curious about everything, and he doesn’t belong in Lyndon's world. All he needs to do is figure out a way to reopen the portal and get him back to his world. The only problem? Darcy is his soul mate.

I really enjoyed this story with the shifter who arrived via a portal and a witch with a cool skill who was determined to stick to his solitary life and resist fate. I felt sorry for Darcy who was stuck with such a reluctant mate so was thrilled when his attitude changed. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There's nothing scarier than a vampire, so when Rainbow's coven is taken over by a nest of the creatures, he does the smart thing and flees. Umberwood is supposed to be a fresh start, except for the fact that he's somehow picked up a stalker and his grumpy next-door neighbour already seems to hate him! What's a witch to do? All Griffin wants to do is get his pack through this truce and secure peace, no matter what it takes. He doesn't have time for love, and definitely not with his witch neighbour and his vampire stalker. Of course, it doesn't seem to matter what he wants when fate and Sunny have other ideas. As soon as Sunny scented him, he knew Rainbow was his. How was he to know cleaning his room and leaving cute notes was creepy? He might have been around for a century, but he's got a lot to learn about love. First, he's got to get the wolf on board and into our bed. Griffin might pretend he doesn't want Rainbow, but we both know that's a lie. Turns out he's not the only one who's been Charmed by Rainbow. Now we just have to find a way to make him ours.

I enjoyed this story of how the three men met as well as how the truce between two wolf shifter packs worked out. I loved the type of witch was and Sunny was adorable with his stalker cleaning - I need one of those! Easy to , feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content.

Short-term Daddy

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While Luca is used to being considered odd, he’s embraced the title. He’s found happiness in the simpler things. It’s not like he has a choice. He’s dirt-poor living in an expensive town. Barely scraping by isn’t even enough to describe how dire his straits are. Then a chance meeting at the park turns his entire life on its head. He’s never been more terrified. This one will hurt when it’s over, and Luca already knows how it’ll end. As a highly sought-after attorney, Jarek hasn’t taken a breath in years until one night he simply decides to stop. When he spots an adorable man playing with blocks in the middle of the park with zero shame, Jarek can’t stay away. He keeps searching for ways to convince Luca to see him. Jarek can’t even say exactly what he hopes to achieve, but he only has one summer to figure it out. After that, Luca will be gone forever. That’s not an outcome Jarek is sure he can handle.

This was a sweet story as a disillusioned lawyer had his eyes opened to the joy of caring for a little and all of the love it brought to his life. I loved the way that their relationship developed and that it built up slowly. A sweet love story that will make you smile. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

He knows it’s going to end badly, but Milo can’t help getting dragged to the Lactin Brotherhood meet and greet since his best friend is the definition of persistent. His only goal is to make it out without embarrassing himself, but it’s a stretch goal that’s getting further out of reach before he even gets there. Well, it’s a stretch goal until his best friend overshares about Milo being a little and he ends up running into the most incredible man he’s ever seen. He knows it’s a stupid idea, but Elias can’t help agreeing to go to the ridiculous social event his friend is dragging him to. After being told he’s too serious and has a bad case of a stern resting face, Elias isn't ready to be turned down again. But his luck seems to change when he runs into the sweetest sub he’s ever met and who has the strangest best friend he’s ever encountered. When a chance meeting turns into a first date, two lost men might just find the family they've always dreamed about.

I loved this story with the cute little and the stern man who turned to a caring Daddy with the benefit of his lactation. This story made me smile as the men met and worked out their relationship. Milo's best friend was weird with his oversharing even though it did help - he deserves his own book. Easy to read, feel and understand. A sometimes sub for the occasional evening, he’s searching for something more. He’s seen ‘lifestyle subs’ who indulge 24/7 and he’s curious to see if it works. Full-time Dom, Rain, is brought in to give Tim the experience he’s been looking for, but Rainier has a secret—he’s been watching Tim in the club for years, just waiting for Tim to get serious before making his move. Can these two men find what they need in each other? Mike has been hired to be a submissive for three weeks. He doesn’t know that much about the lifestyle but has been assured that he won’t be damaged and that he can stop the proceedings at any time. He figures he can handle it - besides, the payday is too good to give up and will keep him off the street and fed for a long time. Dom Brendan is handsome and confident, and the things he shows Mike have him more than a little turned on—in fact, they speak to something deep inside him. Could he have found something more than just another job in Brendan? Angus and Robbie are a committed Dom/sub pair who want to spice things up a little and see if puppy play is for them. They’re excited and nervous to learn this new aspect from Sam, the puppy master that Rainbow Island has brought in to show them the ropes. They discover there’s more to puppy play than they’d imagined and not all of it is for them. Can they separate what they need from what they want and come out stronger than ever in the end?

This was a nice collection of stories on the island. Whilst some were quite deep, others were a bit too superficial and focused on the person's wealth or lifestyle at home. I was glad that the two that introduced a new couple ended with a pair going home together/ I was also glad that the three men running the island finally found their happiness. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story (with an MM overarching throuple) with mature content with BSDM-like behaviours.
