Review: Emil by Kerry Kilpatrick 4 of 5 stars

Emil

Emil by Kerry Kilpatrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Anders thinks he’s found the perfect dominant partner, but everything collapses when his boyfriend uses him, manipulates him, and even frames him for financial misconduct. Heartbroken and blamed, he’s left with nothing. Emil, his steady and perceptive boss, sees the truth. He knows Anders wasn’t foolish — just devoted to the wrong man — and he refuses to let him be discarded. Emil offers support, protection, and the kind of steady care Anders has always needed. If Anders can learn to trust again, Emil is ready to show him a love that won’t fail him.

I loved this story that delivered a heartfelt blend of healing, justice, and devotion. Emil stands out as a truly remarkable partner — not because he’s perfect, but because he’s willing to learn how to be exactly what Anders needs. His patience, steadiness, and determination to become the best Daddy for Anders gives the book its emotional core. While Anders struggles with the betrayal and manipulation that left him framed for financial misconduct, Emil quietly takes charge of uncovering the truth. He protects Anders not just with authority, but with genuine care, proving that love can be both gentle and fiercely loyal. Their relationship grew through trust, communication, and Emil’s unwavering belief that Anders deserved to be cherished. A tender, restorative romance where justice is served and love becomes a safe place to land. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: Just a Little Joy by Kerry Kilpatrick 3 of 5 stars

Just a Little Joy

Just a Little Joy by Kerry Kilpatrick
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Former NHL player Travis Langford runs a quiet bar but secretly longs to be a Daddy. Casey Gutierrez, a drifting waiter who craves guidance and care, takes a holiday shift at Travis’s bar, and the spark between them is instant. Neither knows how to express what they need, but as their connection deepens, they slowly learn to communicate, trust, and build the kind of relationship both have been missing.

I enjoyed this story. This was a tender, quietly emotional holiday romance about two men who’ve spent years wanting something they never quite knew how to ask for. Travis and Casey find in each other the connection they’ve been missing. Their chemistry is immediate, but what really shines is the vulnerability — two men learning to communicate, trust, and admit what they need. It’s sweet, gently steamy, and full of heart, proving that love doesn’t require perfection, just honesty and the courage to reach for it. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Soothed By Daddy by Kerry Kilpatrick 3 of 5 stars

Soothed By Daddy: An M/M Daddy Kink Age Play Romance

Soothed By Daddy: An M/M Daddy Kink Age Play Romance by Kerry Kilpatrick
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

After heartbreak and betrayal, George Winslow retreats into solitude, determined to avoid emotional entanglements. But when a spilt glass of Lactin Brotherhood milk triggers unexpected vulnerability, his aloof yet nurturing tenant, Cyrus Russo, steps in—offering comfort through nursing, a gesture that defies convention and awakens deeper needs. As their unconventional bond grows, George finds solace in Cyrus’s quiet strength and reliability. Yet Cyrus, burdened by his own past, resists the idea of love. When George’s ex resurfaces, threatening the fragile peace they’ve built, Cyrus must confront his fears and choose whether to walk away or fight for the connection that’s transformed them both.

I enjoyed this story with the two men fulfilling a need for each other and how that brought them much closer. I enjoyed the chat that Cyrus had with his colleague, who basically gave him some badly needed home truths. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic with male lactation.

Review: Just a Little Fling by Kerry Kilpatrick 3 of 5 stars

Just a Little Fling

Just a Little Fling by Kerry Kilpatrick
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Nico thrives on freedom, keeping relationships at arm’s length—until Levi, a Daddy who sees and embraces his bratty side. What starts as a one-night stand quickly turns into something deeper, unsettling Nico’s carefully guarded independence. As their connection grows, Nico’s fear of commitment threatens to unravel it all. Levi, drawn to the challenge, must decide whether to chase after the man who keeps running or let him go, accepting that love can't always be forced.

I enjoyed this story but struggled with Nico but his behaviour and life philosophy was not easy to read or understand. I understand what they agreed upon but found it hard to accept which then was hard to relate to. Easy to understand. This was an MM story with mature and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Calvin by Kerry Kilpatrick 3 of 5 stars

Calvin

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Between Calvin's tech firm and his family’s endowment fund, there’s no shortage of people trying to get close to him. Offering a trespasser a job to run interference makes no sense, but neither does his instant attraction to sweet, submissive Micah. He never expected to fall in love with a man, let alone be the Daddy who takes on all his burdens. Micah's life has never been easy, and his only option left was to sell himself. The intimidating and wildly sexy Calvin Rutledge offers him a lifeline out of the garden shed and off the streets. In exchange for room, board, and a chance at a better future, he would be his companion. But he never anticipated falling in love with his boss or craving the care that comes with being his boy.

This was a sweet story of how Calvin met Micah and became his Daddy. I loved Micah's attempts at independence and stopping Calvin from spending too much money on him. The trouble from Micah's brother introduced some mild drama. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: Just a Little Magic by Kerry Kilpatrick 4 of 5 stars

Just a Little Magic

Just a Little Magic by Kerry Kilpatrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Owen has been in love with Barrett since they met in college. Ten plus years and nothing has changed. No man would ever measure up to him, so why would he waste his time? They'd never be Barrett. He'll never be the one for him, so he works as the in-house designer at Barrett's firm and takes what he can get. He might be a Daddy, but he's not interested Owen's my kind of little. Barrett has been in love with Owen since college. More than ten years later, that hasn't changed. He's tried to move on from him, but other men have never measured up. To keep him close, he hired Owen at his hospitality firm, and he takes what he's willing to share. Owen might be a little, but he's not interested in Barrett's kind of Daddy. These two best friends will need some help from fate and a little magic to make their happily ever after happen.

This was a sweet story of two men who loved each other and had time and a lot of false assumptions between them. I loved that circumstances meant that they were able to correct their assumptions and find the future that they both deserve. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Just a Little Love by Kerry Kilpatrick 4 of 5 stars

Just a Little Love

Just a Little Love by Kerry Kilpatrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Gabriel Alves is well aware of his status as a daddy. Still, his all-consuming career as an architect leaves no time for relationships. That is until he needs a fake date for a New Year's Eve bash. Rory Quinn is a sassy college lecturer with a knack for disastrous dating and a house on the brink of condemnation. Their chance meeting leads to a mutually beneficial proposition. Gabe will help Rory save his inherited home from crumbling around him. In return, Rory will pretend to be Gabe's little one for the night. As the two double down on their charade, sparks fly, and the thin line between fact and fiction blurs. But when the clock strikes midnight, will their arrangement crumble under the weight of their commitments and an interfering ex? Or will they find a love worth celebrating beyond the confines of their fake relationship?

This was a sweet story about two men who found what they were looking for by chance and had their own HEA ready to grasp with both hands. I loved their relationship and the way that Gabe cared for Rory which rapidly moved from fake to real. Easy to read with a lot of emotions and feelings. This was an MM story with mature content with a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Will by Kerry Kilpatrick 3 of 5 stars

Will

Will by Kerry Kilpatrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Will is a social worker on Almstead Island, and he's come to understand the hidden battles people face. But seeing Beckett injured shook him. Behind his tough exterior, there's a vulnerability that tugs at his heartstrings. Will wants to be his daddy, not just to fulfil a fantasy, but to provide the comfort and security he so desperately needs. The injury didn't just hurt Beckett's body; it exposed the emotional bruises his family has inflicted on him since childhood. Their constant criticisms and jokes have worn him down even more than his job as a cop in their small town. Will’s kindness and understanding offer a reprieve from the suffocating weight of their judgment. Beckett wants to be his boy for longer than a fling. Beckett needs to drop his guard and Will needs to find the line between nurturing and smothering. Both of these men want what the other is offering, but they’ll have to get out of their own way to make it happen.

I loved this story of the quiet cop who needed a Daddy to care for and stick up for him. Beckett really had horrible parents but it was only when Will stuck up for him that others realised that it was not a good situation. I loved their relationship and that Will did not let Beckett wallow in his feelings. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.
