Review: Halo by E.M. Lindsey 4 of 5 stars

Halo

Halo by E.M. Lindsey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Victor accidentally gets into the wrong car, and Oliver — who works in a line of work few would describe kindly — decides not to throw him out. Both men hide who they really are, and by the time the truth begins to surface, their connection is already too strong to ignore. Victor sees goodness in Oliver even when Oliver can’t see it in himself, but circumstances pull them apart for months. During that time, Oliver realises he’s willing to fight for what — and who — he wants, even if their love seems star‑crossed from the start.

An unlikely match on the surface, Victor and Oliver share an undeniable connection that grows beautifully from a chance encounter into something meaningful. I loved watching Oliver gently open Victor’s world, giving him experiences and freedoms his strict upbringing never allowed. That tenderness made their bond feel both intimate and transformative. The story was full of emotions that are easy to feel right alongside them — longing, fear, hope, and the slow realisation that they might finally have found someone who sees them clearly. A heartfelt, emotionally rich read about two men who give each other the chance at happiness they’ve always been denied. This was an MM story with mature content.
