Scratcher

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Micah lives by strict hookup rules to keep his emotions in check, but everything changes when he meets Ryan — a gorgeous, stressed‑out stranger who can only offer secret Thursday‑night meetups. Despite Ryan’s hidden complications, their connection deepens fast, pushing Micah to want more for the first time. To make it work, he needs Ryan to give him something real, something worth holding onto.

This was such an emotional, beautifully crafted story, and the connection between Micah and Ryan was impossible to ignore. Even with both men facing real constraints — Micah navigating life with BPD and Ryan trapped in a complicated home situation — their pull toward each other felt natural, tender, and deeply human. I really appreciated how sensitively Micah’s BPD was portrayed. It was honest and factual without ever reducing him to a diagnosis. Ryan’s circumstances were equally clear and easy to understand, adding weight to why he struggled to give more even when he wanted to. Their relationship is full of big emotions, raw moments, and a slow, steady shift toward something real. And the happy ending felt absolutely earned. A heartfelt, moving read that stayed with me. This was an MM story with mature content.
