Review: His One and Only by Charity Parkerson 4 of 5 stars

His One and Only

His One and Only by Charity Parkerson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Valon is a rockstar spiralling under the pressure of fame and the destructive habits keeping him afloat. Marc, his longtime fan turned bodyguard, quickly realises Valon is hiding something serious and becomes determined to uncover the truth. As their connection deepens, both men struggle with their own secrets — and Marc may be the only one who can help Valon find a way out.

This story builds a beautiful connection between Valon and Marc, starting with friendship and slowly shifting into something deeper and more life‑changing. I loved how Marc gave Valon exactly what he’d been missing — time, attention, and the space to finally breathe and understand his own feelings instead of running from them. Their bond feels steady and supportive, and they truly give each other a real chance at happiness. There’s a lot of emotion woven through the book, not just from the two men but from the people who care about them, and that emotional depth makes their journey even more rewarding. A heartfelt, moving read about healing, trust, and finding someone who sees you clearly. This was an MM story with mature content.
