Review: Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost by K.M. Neuhold 4 of 5 stars

Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost

Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost by K.M. Neuhold
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ghost has no memory of his life before an overdose left him for dead seven years ago, and he’s spent every day since hunting the Sleepless Reapers who destroyed him. Breaking into the wrong house puts him in the path of Alessio, a mafioso who becomes an unexpected source of devotion and steadiness. Ghost doesn’t have time for feelings, but Alessio is the first person to make him want more than vengeance. As Ghost pursues his revenge, the two form a dark, fragile connection — two men keeping each other company in the shadows while they fight their demons.

This story dives deep into the trauma Ghost endured at the hands of the Sleepless Reapers, and it’s that history of abuse that fuels every step of his relentless quest for vengeance. His pain is raw and ever‑present, giving the book a powerful emotional core. What really stood out to me was the connection between Ghost and Alessio — unexpected, intense, and slowly transformative. Alessio’s steady devotion becomes the first thing to pull Ghost toward something resembling a real life, even if he can only take small steps out of the darkness. Their bond grows in quiet, careful moments, and the emotional weight of that journey is beautifully handled. The story is packed with feeling — anger, grief, longing, and the fragile hope that healing might be possible. It’s gripping, emotional, and full of heart. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.
