Landon spent a couple of years helping a navy friend live his last years and needed a break from normal and so is trying to track a missing war dog called Chica while taking his three chihuahuas with him. Chica has a lame leg and half a paw and went missing just before she was taken across the border to Canada. Nurse Sabrina has volunteered at the local vet clinic as she had a soft spot for animals and so when she finds out Landon is trying to find a missing war dog she just wants to help him to find her. When her world turns upside down she is more than happy to have Landon close by. They just have to find the dog and find out who is responsible for endangering her life.
I enjoyed this story with both Landon and Sabrina passionate about animals, the troubles that they face, and that by sticking together they can conquer everything. It was great how he was certain s quickly but it was great soo the care that she took to verify everything and take care of herself. Contains a little mature content. Easy to read and understand.
