As soon as Marcus saw Penny the innocent and submissive side of her nature called to his dominant and so he immediately volunteered to guide her through an exploration of the world of BDSM. However, he is also playing a game of cat and mouse with psychopath Evan who just wants to destroy him and so when the worlds collide he decides to call it quits to protect her. But he was too late and now she is in the crossfire so he will do everything he can to protect the woman he is falling for.
I enjoyed this story with the strong Marcus feeling so powerless around the evil Evan and the actions that he was taking to take revenge for various events and deeds in the past. I loved the way that Marcus was very protective and that he did his best to protect those who he cared for. The sexual chemistry between Marcus and Penny was electric and it was great to see that it also led to love. I think the ending of this story although it started as very sad ended with a very sweet event that left me smiling. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content of a BDSM nature.
