My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Lion shifter and billionaire businessman Jake has long since given up finding his mate but agrees to a data set up by Gerri Wilder but his date human Casey is a philosophy major who likes to go to poetry slams and so he is like a fish out of water. However, she has a dazzling smile, and is beautiful and having met her she is also his mate. Casey doubts that he has anything in common with her and has no idea what he could have in common with her, but is willing to see how far things go (expecting it to not last that long). However, they do both like a deep meaningful conversation, midnight strolls under the stars and monster trucks (really?). Can they find the HEA they so richly deserve?
I enjoyed this story with two very different people finding a common ground (some of which was very unusual) that gave them a more solid basis for happiness than might be anticipated. Easy to read and understand, it was great to read something where life was not easy, they both made mistakes, but it was possible to move past them to find happiness. Contains some mature content.
