Lincoln Winter is on the trail of a crime family who is dealing in illegal weapons when his intel leads him to Skye Sommers who is the HR Manager of the company that the family uses as a front. His mind wonders if she is a suspect but his gut says she is innocent and needs his protection. Skye's dream job turns into a nightmare when she witnesses a murder and realises that nothing at work is how it seems. When Lincoln claiming to be an investigator turns up st Skye's office she has no choice but to trust him. Soon her heart is in as much danger as her life but she worries that he is only using her to get to his mark.
I enjoyed this story. There was jeopardy of the investigation into the arms dealing, the innocent Skye mixed up in it but with access to some very useful information, and the growing attraction between them both. I loved the way he went all alpha male to protect her but she was sassy enough to not let him get away with it. The team at big 3 security worked together and it was great to feature them all in this story too. Easy to read and understand I was drawn into the story. Contains some mature content.
