Review: Maneater by M.M. Wilde 3 of 5 stars

Maneater by M.M. Wilde
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Darien escapes LA for a quiet herbalist life in the Ozarks, only to discover the local monster legends are real when Rex reveals himself as an Ozark Howler to save him. Their unexpected bond grows, and Rex begins to wonder if a human might actually be his forever match.

I enjoyed this story and the undeniable connection between Darien and Rex, even if their interactions sometimes felt a bit disjointed and stilted. Darien’s fixation on what he thought he saw, and the way he immediately broke his promise not to tell anyone, didn’t always endear him to me, and his unusually easy access to the solstice celebration felt off compared to how other humans were treated in the series. Still, the mix of magic, monster lore, and the slow‑building bond between the two men made the story enjoyable overall. There were emotions and feelings threaded throughout, even if both characters struggled with them at times. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Gargoyle Sentinel : An M/M Mpreg Monster Romance by M.M. Wilde 3 of 5 stars

Gargoyle Sentinel : An M/M Mpreg Monster Romance by M.M. Wilde
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This story plunges into a gripping supernatural conflict where Malachi, a Sentinel stationed at the Rocky Mountain lair, is suddenly called to Aspen by Archangel Michael. A high-level Nephilim has been kidnapped by shadow gargoyles, and the ransom demand is a powerful relic that cannot be sacrificed, even for someone of such importance. Meanwhile, Danny, a ski instructor fleeing his wealthy and disapproving family, finds himself caught in an unexpected danger after being drugged at a local bar. With betrayal from an unforeseen source threatening their unborn child, Malachi and Danny must navigate treacherous battles—not just against the rogues, but within their own ranks. As the Slayers fight to dismantle the enemy, the clock is ticking to save Malachi’s new family from destruction.

This story was packed with high-stakes action, emotional turmoil, and an intense supernatural backdrop. There were emotions, feelings, and a lot of explanation as to what was going on. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Gargoyle Reaper by M.M. Wilde 4 of 5 stars

Gargoyle Reaper by M.M. Wilde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ezekiel, a healer among the Shadow Slayers, longs for the chance to prove himself in battle and finally unlock the fate-bound connection to his mate. His chance arrives when he’s sent to Boston to aid a tortured Slayer. Meanwhile, Archer, a reclusive yet brilliant surgeon, has little interest in companionship—until his world is shattered by supernatural forces invading his home. Thrown into a realm of dark prophecies and fearsome creatures, Archer struggles to make sense of the chaos. But when Ezekiel appears, claiming they’re destined for each other, the undeniable spark between them forces him to reconsider everything he thought he knew. As danger mounts and the shadows close in, their bond may be the key to survival—or their undoing.

I really enjoyed this story with the two men who were drawn together by fate in the worst of times. Archer and his struggle to understand everything was well written. The betrayals and attacks were all very dramatic with lots of danger and destruction. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and MPREG.

Review: Gargoyle Vigilante by M.M. Wilde 4 of 5 stars

Gargoyle Vigilante by M.M. Wilde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dante, a hardened Shadow Slayer gargoyle, has spent centuries battling rogue forces that threaten humanity. Amir, a scholar with a hidden past, stumbles into this war when his uncle is murdered, forcing him to flee with a sacred relic. As darkness closes in, Amir must navigate a world of ancient power, while Dante discovers that only his Fated One—Amir—can thaw his cold heart. Together, they must fight for survival, love, and the future of their unborn child.

I loved this story with its layers of destiny, sacrifice, and deep emotional bonds. The world that they lived in and the characters were well described and easy to relate to. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and MPREG.

Review: S'more to Love by Lila Wilde by Andi James 3 of 5 stars

S'more to Love by Lila Wilde by Andi James
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Rory is a little too loud, opinionated and is too chubby and so is used to being overlooked as in experience Doms prefer their men to be small, quiet and agreeable. His cute and twinky best friend has dragged him on a fancy camping trip for kinky singles he doesn't expect to be noticed by anyone. Hudson has tried Daddying before and has not been very successful but is excited at the opportunity to find a like-minded boy although this camping getaway is not in a tent but a cabin with three rooms and satellite TV. He is ready to cut his losses when he sees the cue guy next door who catches his eye and nurturing instinct. Will charming, steady Hudson convince stubborn Rory he adores him just the way he is and become the Daddy Rory thought he’d never find? Or will they continue hiking separate paths?

This was a sweet story with Rory who is overlooked both in his personal and working life. It was wonderful for Hudson to keep reinforcing to him that he was only interested in him and that he was special (even though Rory found it very hard to accept that). I loved the way that Hudson's outdoor knowledge meant that they could go off the standard organised events. This was easy to read, feel and understand - particularly when Rory was upset by nasty comments from people. This is an MM story with a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Her Warrior: A Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance by Alice Wilde 5 of 5 stars

Her Warrior: A Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance by Alice Wilde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We join them after the end of book 3 and continuing the story of Annalise and her shifters. Ero is with the Viking army, so she is just with Roan and Li on a ship travelling to Li's homeland to get help. However Roan is barely able to look at her and her heart is broken - Li is all that keeps her going. When they arrive in China it becomes evident that getting them on their side is going to be the hardest ask so far. With her life and honour at stake, it is unclear how she is going to convince such a great kingdom to help. Will the emperor help or see Li as a threat to the throne? All Li knows for sure at this moment is that Li is her only comfort.

This instalment has plenty of drama and action (some of which might surprise you). I loved the way they had to think on their toes and handle all sorts of difficult situations. Li was a complete sweetheart and I loved the way they were able to connect. Annalise definitely came into her own and was able to contribute and take actions in order to help the situations they found themselves in. It ends on a bit of a cliffhanger so I really can't wait to find out what is going to happen next. Well written and very enjoyable, everything was clearly explained so that I could feel the pain and joy experienced by the characters in the story.

Review: Her Viking: A Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance by Alice Wilde 5 of 5 stars

Her Viking: A Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance by Alice Wilde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Annalise has gone from being a sheltered Princess to being married twice, kidnapped, seen death and visited a Fae kingdom. Together with her three shifters (Roan, Li and Ero) she has to help Ero convince his people (he hasn't seen for decades) that he is real, is the rightful ruler and that her plight is their own too. She also has to try and stop Roan and Ero from killing each other (not an easy job!). In the process she understands Ero much more and that he is not as hard-hearted as he appears. Can they make progress, stay alive and avoid whatever Damien throws at them?

OMG - I certainly didn't see the way this book ended and can only hope that things work out for Annalise going forward (as the chips are even more stacked against her that they were before!!). With lots of drama and excitement, this is definitely a slow burn reverse harem story with some sexual content. I really can't wait to find out what is going to happen next (especially when some of the events of this book come to fruition) where I can definitely see bloodshed on the cards.

** Please note in order to read this book you need to have read the previous two books first or it won't make as much sense nor be as enjoyable.

Review: Her Highlander by Alice Wilde 4 of 5 stars

Her Highlander by Alice Wilde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Once the King is dead Annalise discovers she is key to unleashing dark magic upon the world and so after a sham marriage she runs away with three very beautiful shifters (Roan, Li and Ero) to Scotland and Roan's clan to try to get an army to get her kingdom back.

This contains some very dramatic moments that showed Annalise learning of the world outside her rather limited upbringing and having lots of adventures with her constant protectors. I loved the slightly fractious relationship between the three shifters and their unwavering devotion to Annalise. There were parts of the story that got a little monotonous where the same bit was told more than once from a different point of view but overall it was a very nice story to read. Clear and well written it was easy to understand as long as you can tolerate the occasional repetition. This is a very slow burn reverse harem series.
