Rory is a little too loud, opinionated and is too chubby and so is used to being overlooked as in experience Doms prefer their men to be small, quiet and agreeable. His cute and twinky best friend has dragged him on a fancy camping trip for kinky singles he doesn't expect to be noticed by anyone. Hudson has tried Daddying before and has not been very successful but is excited at the opportunity to find a like-minded boy although this camping getaway is not in a tent but a cabin with three rooms and satellite TV. He is ready to cut his losses when he sees the cue guy next door who catches his eye and nurturing instinct. Will charming, steady Hudson convince stubborn Rory he adores him just the way he is and become the Daddy Rory thought he’d never find? Or will they continue hiking separate paths?
This was a sweet story with Rory who is overlooked both in his personal and working life. It was wonderful for Hudson to keep reinforcing to him that he was only interested in him and that he was special (even though Rory found it very hard to accept that). I loved the way that Hudson's outdoor knowledge meant that they could go off the standard organised events. This was easy to read, feel and understand - particularly when Rory was upset by nasty comments from people. This is an MM story with a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
