Dominic is the Lead Protection Officer for the king but he has a past and when that comes calling he is terrified for those he cares for and protects. This includes the king's PA Randall who is never far from his thoughts. Randall has been the king's PA for years. It is long hours and very busy but he loves it and even when he is a prisoner he never stops thinking about his love for his job and the people he works for. He never imagines falling in love with a man ten years his junior but love chooses whoever is the right person. How can Dominic keep everyone safe when the clock is ticking?
I loved this story with the two men who are drawn together even if one is too busy and the other thinks he is too old. I loved their mutual respect for each other and that when they gave themselves permission to be together it was obvious that they were made for each other. Randall was brave even though he was a captive and his efficient side came to the fore as he organised and was sensible with his choices. Easy to read, feel and understand you will get all of the feels with this story. This is an MM story with mature content.
