Fox is a reprobate as he is humourous, arrogant and unable to follow the rules. He is sent on a mission to protect cold-as-ice billionaire Darren who he loves to hate. His plan is to protect him while pushing all of his buttons. Darren is hot and Fox expected to want him but he never expected his heart to get involved too. There are things no one told me about the mission, and our enemies are closing in fast. We have nowhere to go, but my friend’s ranch turned safehouse. Neither of us was made for relationships, but the longer they’re together, the harder it is to deny the way he makes Fox's heart ache for more. Fox has been living on the run, dodging bullets and his past. Can he stay put and give himself a chance at love?
I really enjoyed this love-hate story where the whole story changed midway through to something else completely unexpected. The relationship between Fox and Darren started with some hate sex but that soon changed into something more addictive between them both which soon became life-affirming and showed the way that they felt about each other. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
