Parker is one of the hosts of the queer podcast The Vers and he is the one known as The Romantic who is looking for love in the wrong places and just ends up with jerks. He is starting to think that his Mr. Right doesn't exist. It can't be Elliott Delgado Weaver who flirts and constantly asks him out. After running into each other in Vegas they go out and get drunk together before they wake up married. Before they can think about the implications Elliott's family finds out and he doesn't want to let them down by admitting it was a drunken mistake Parker's parents had the perfect marriage until his mother passed when he was ten and he would hate for his father to discover what he has done. They decide to pretend they’re in love and stay married for six months. Better to amicably divorce later than own up to their screwup. All Parker wanted was a HEA and now he lives with a serial hookup artist who never planned on settling down. But Elliott takes Parker on dates, makes him laugh and touches him like he is someone to cherish. Elliott also gives Parker lots of praise and he starts to wonder if his HEA can be with a husband who doesn't think love is for him.
I really enjoyed this story. These two men were perfect for each other they just needed a time and place to be able to safely explore their attraction and see where it went. I loved that both of them had to do some introspection and really consider what they really wanted. This was a really emotional story with a lot of really good exploration of their feelings and what they really meant. I also loved that on both sides their friends were supportive. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
