Review: Agrippa My Heart by J.P. Sayle 3 of 5 stars

Agrippa My Heart (Destination Daddies Season Two)

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Patrick Holmes’s experience using the Cuffd app is not good after his last Daddy was abusive so he is very wary of putting himself back out there. Then he gets a message from a Daddy via the app that changes his mind. Akker is everything Patrick has dreamed of but he lives in Italy and Patrick lives in London. Cuffd appears to have the answer when they offer up the chance to win a paid holiday to the hotel Akker works in. Against all the odds, Patrick wins the holiday, but will Akker be disappointed when they finally meet face-to-face? Akker Carlson’s life is in a state of flux. First, his father wants to retire and so wants him to take over the family hotel business and second, he meets a boy who has captured his full attention. Akker uses his connections to Cuffd to devise a plan to get Patrick to Italy. Will his finagling work against him when a blast from Patrick’s past turns up on the same holiday?

This was a sweet read with the sensitive boy Patrick who has been abused physically and mentally by a so-called Daddy in the past, is being bullied by his manager at work and is in dire need of a real Daddy to love and protect him. Akker was just perfect caring for him in the only way he knew even before the holiday to Italy by feeding him and making sure he rested as much as he could. I loved their relationship and the way it developed over time. I did find the easy development of their relationship into a full-time arrangement a little fast and with inadequate discussion. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.
