Corbin is known as The Charmer on The Vers podcast he hosts with his three best friends. He is always happy, flirting and trying to win everyone over. He might appear shallow, but that is far from the truth. Seeing his three best friends fall in love he is now feeling left out. He is fascinated with his neighbour Spencer, who hates him but is addicted to getting under his skin. Then after far too many drinks Corbin confesses to Spencer just how much he loves cuddling. It turns out that Spencer doesn't hate Corbin and whenever Corbin needs affection Spencer just holds him. Along the way they become friends and then Corbin falls for him. Spencer feels the same way too. Cobin has disordered eating, an addiction to social media and body image issues, and Spencer is determined to support him as he fights his way to a better way of life.
I really enjoyed this story. Corbin was the more complicated of the four friends and it was fitting that he was left until the end. I loved that his issues, the reasons for them and their history as well as the steps he took to get over them were covered. I also loved that Spencer gave him whatever support he needed to handle it all (even if that included delivering a few home truths to people). I loved the positivity that came out of this book even though there were some dark subjects and themes covered. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content. Please take note of the content warnings.
