Detroit is home to humans, shifters, vampires and other unknown creatures. Ronin is a vampire and is on a mission and as part of that, he comes across a determined but also rambling and sometimes foolish human omega Ari. He wants to rise up as a journalist and so is trying to break a case so he can write about it. They have to work together to keep the people of Detroit safe if they can work out their differences and listen to the fated thread that connects them.
I enjoyed this story where the two determined men who both wanted to help people and could if they could get past some roadblocks, work together very well. I liked how feisty Ari was and how hard Ronin tried to protect him after getting past his dislike of humans. after they resolved their issues they were a powerful force together that could achieve great things. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the Omegaverse with mpreg.
