Ty Scott has spent his life trying to keep his best friend Declan in the friend zone because he is straight. It's not easy to share a condo with him but it is better than losing his friendship. He does everything to keep his best friend in a closed box but one night seeing him flirting with a guy in a bar snaps something inside of him. Will staying in the closet end up pushing Declan’s best friend, and the man he’s loved for most of his life, away for good? Will Ty’s sexy secret be too much for Declan to handle? Or will an on-the-job accident stop everything before it starts?
This was a story full of emotions and introspection by both men as they sorted out their feelings. While Ty was definitely gay Declan was demisexual and Ty was his person. I loved the way that Ty let Declan explore him and handled his firsts with all the love and care that they deserved. It was dramatic when Declan's accident happened and I was so glad that Ty's family pulled through for him. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
